Reunion.

Far away from Talia Katherine stood on the bridge deck of her flagship the Hippolyta. She was looking ahead when a shout came from the prow. "Ship sighted directly ahead." Katherine picked up the magnifier which was a hollow tube with crystals inside which when used would magnify far away objects. That must be the ship I saw this morning' Katherine thought to herself. The sun was behind her so the ship was silhouetted against the sky. Katherine ordered her rowers to increase the pace and they soon gained on the ship. Katherine could see that it was definitely a pirate ship as she had once been a pirate herself. Something was familiar about this ship and then she remembered its name. Scarlet Scourge' it was called. Katherine ordered her signaller to signal for the ship to heave too for boarding. The ship obeyed and its rowers raised their oars and the ships drifted nearer to each other. Then Katherine saw a female on the other ship's bridge deck she recognised her.

That must be the captain of the ship. The two ships came close enough together that they could be tied together. Katherine had the bigger well-armed ship but the smaller ship would be faster. Katherine collected her boarding party with a smile on her face. I have always loved a good boarding party. Katherine and her party were greeted by the woman from the bridge. As she approached she felt she should know this woman from the Hippolyta. Katherine spoke first" Hello captain Magilda it has been a long time since we last shared the same ship" Magilda look at Katherine trying to remember then it suddenly hit her. "Katherine?" " It has been a long time since we sailed together. Last time you were my first mate and now look at you as a captain." Magilda looked at Katherine "And now you're a respectable admiral" "So Captain Magilda is still being a pirate I see. Well i have a small crew but a very fast ship. It would be the perfect ship to join the Freeconian fleet.

No more to be hunted by various realms and a place to call home. What say you old friend" Magilda said as she stepped off the deck and onto the gangplank. "I say it is a good idea my dearest friend. We have been through a lot together". "I have been thinking about it for some time now." said Magilda then carried on"Indeed it is a good idea" Magilda said as she watched Katherine step off the gangplank back onto her flagship" You have my permission to join the fleet my lady" Katherine said with a smile and a curt nod of her head. "Thank you, admiral," said Magilda turning to go back to her bridge. "Captain Magilda strike your flag and take this Freeconian flag. Then please join us on this patrol for more pirates and barbarians." Magilda caught the flag just as the two ships were untied and gently drifted apart. Both ships lowered their oars into the water and both kept pace with eachother as they ploughed the ocean looking for any ships. Katherine was alone in her cabin with one thing her mind Arerto. Had she known what had befallen the queen she would have put about and headed back to Talia.
