Returning to an old tactic.

"This is a seriously screwed up plan," Fio remarked as they hid in the forested area and watched Darkness exit the treeline wearing another makeshift vest of meat, and walk towards the cliff that the wyverns had reportedly roosted among the ledges of.

"Well, with any luck, Megumin's Explosion will wipe out a couple of them for us," Kazuma shrugged. "Plus, Darkness actually likes this part, and can take it, especially with Aqua spamming Protect on her. Quick question though Cremea," he remarked, pulling his sword out as he spoke, readying himself.

"Wyvern scales aren't as durable as dragon scales, don't worry," Cremea saw the question coming. "As long as you don't hit any of their harder bones, you shouldn't break your sword this time."

"I sure hope not," Kazuma grumbled, before they heard screeching, and looked up to see three of the Wyverns descending towards Darkness, attracted by the smell of the meat she was wearing on her armor.

"Looks like the adolescent ones are going for her," Cremea noted.

"Good, that's three out of five of our targets. Megumin, light em' up," Kazuma ordered, and with a nod, Megumin started the incantation before firing off the Explosion spell, just as the wyverns reached Darkness and we're trying to eat her. KABOOM!

The moment the smoke and debris cleared, Kazuma saw that one of the wyverns, the one hit most directly, was definitely dead, the body was clearly mangled. The other two however were burnt and scorched badly, one having the membrane of a wing burned away, but still alive and quite pissed. "Damn, was hoping all three would get wiped out," Kazuma sighed as they heard more screeches. "And here comes Mom and Dad..."
