Returning home

Miranda and Mark had a good chat as they headed back to the car. It was such a nice night, he had certainly enjoyed himself and by the body language of his blonde friend, she did too.

“If we ever do this again, we’ll be choosing something way more tame,” said Miranda as they hoped in the car.

Checking her phone in the car, Mark noticed that she was a little distracted. She let out an involuntary groan.

“What’s up? Everything okay?” He asked her.

She frowned looking at her messages with Bryce, “Hmm sort of, just a couple of issues with Bryce.”

Intrigued, he tried to get her to continue, “What’s happened, is he not replying to you or something?”

“Nah he just cancelled our plans for Saturday night after the football game. Since he couldn’t do the movies, he said he would make it up to me with dinner but now he’s fucking spending time with the boys again.”

Mark honestly struggled to stop himself from grinning, this is exactly what he needed. A girl who was having a great time with him, also having troubles with her significant other. Technically they weren’t dating but they were pretty much on the way of being it, they were everything but the label right now.

“I just don’t understand boys,” she said, shutting her phone off.

Her body language had changed dramatically from the moment she looked at her phone. Miranda now sat in the car with her arms crossed, visibly annoyed. Mark did his best to change her mood but he didn’t think it was having much effect.

He allowed himself to be there as someone she could let it all out to, be there just to listen.

By the time they reached East Hall, Miranda appeared to be more annoyed than when she was in the car. “Sorry about that,” she said as they reached Mark’s dorm room, “He’s not by boyfriend, I shouldn’t get so attached.”

“Hey it’s completely understandable and really, anytime you need to talk to someone, you know you can come to me,” he offered his support.

She gave him another slight smile, “Appreciate that, thanks Mark.”

Giving him a tight hug before she walked down the hallway for her dorm, Miranda disappeared from his sight. Disappointed that things changed so quickly, Mark entered his own room and quickly removed his shoes before laying on his bed. His roommate was staying in Cassidy’s dorm tonight so he was rueing the missed opportunity of having a girl in his room.

Just a couple of minutes later, he heard a quite knock on the door. Hopping off the bed, Mark got up to check who it was.

It turned out that Miranda was back. The breathtaking blonde was back at his door.

“Everything all good?” he asked, confused why she was back.

“Eh, not really and maybe I’ll regret this later but fuck it,” she said, shutting the door behind her and grabbing Mark by the neck. She brought him in for a passionate tongue kiss.

Unexpectedly, it was on.
