Return home

After returning home, I peeled off the battle suit and calasped into my bed. What a night. I thwarted a ****, settled the score with Freighttrain, outsmarted his employer and put two criminals behind bars. I also saved a damsel in distress. Wasn't expecting that. Dena Ross was the last thing on my mind before I passed out in bed.

The next morning I woke up. My head was still pounding so I decided I would take the day off from work. I put away my battle suit, put on some comfy pajamas and made a nice cup of coffee. I turned on the TV and found the news reporting on the events of last night. The **** of Dena Ross, the tip about the warehouse and the arrest of Freighttrain and Siphon as they called the women in black. Based on that name, I came to the conclusion I made the right call while dealing with her last night. There was also an interview with Dena Ross. "So Ms Ross, you were not at the warehouse where the two were found. An officer picked up just before we got that tip. Did you escape?" She smiled. "No, someone actually saved me." "Saved you? Who was that?" She continued to speak with a dreamy expression on her face. "I don't really know but I'll never forget her. She had shoulder length dark curely hair. She wore gold lens mask, a gold body suit and belt. Grey hoes and black boots and gloves." "Really? And who was this." She giggled again. "She wouldn't tell me her name but she called herself Gold Vixen." SCORE!!! I thought. "Now did this Gold Vixen leave with you?" Her dreamy face turned to one of sadness. "No, she insisted she stay behind to deal with Frieghttrain."

The interview cut out and the news caster returned. "Authorities believe that it was this Gold Vixen character who defeated Freighttrain and Siphon and tipped off the police to their location. On behave of the city, I must thank Gold Vixen for her heroic actions." That felt good. I changed the channel looking for something else to watch. I watched TV and relaxed for a couple of hours. I then looked at the clock and realized it was 4 o'clock. I remembered that Gold Vixen had promised to meet Dena Ross at 9 o'clock.

I thought back to the platinum blonde beauty I had rescued the other night. I had really only said that to get her to leave and didn't really intend on going through with it. I mean, it was a crazy thought. How was a superheroine supposed to go on a date with someone without revealing their secret identity. Plus after getting some praise on the news, did I really want to soil my reputation by associating with the mayor's tabloid slut of a daughter. For all I know, Dena had told the reporters that I had promised to meet with her and had started to follow her around hoping to get a shot of me. I didn't need that.

But then I thought back to the night before. The way she had kissed me was unlike anything I had ever had ever experienced and the way she touched me made me desperately want more. I mean, would it really be so bad to go and pick up where we left off? I did save her after all. I deserved a reward.
