Retry and mess with the director instead

Sophie: "Ah, but what's done is done. It's not like I can just turn back the clocks and start over..."

You look funnily at Goddess Sophie. You share a light giggle, after with you undo all of your actions with a snap of your fingers. You're still an hour back in time and hidden in the closet, but this time you've not done anything to Christie.

Sophie: "Covertness is kinda gonna be an issue, I feel. Can you also give me the power to be imperceptible, like yourself?"

Goddess Sophie: "Sure."

You can feel attention flowing directly past you. You are a walking shadow, a whisper of wind, a spec of dust flying in the air. A stagehand goes by, and you trip them over. They barely even register it happening, and continue on without looking back.

Sophie: "Perfect."

You walk right up to the scene. In this timeline, Christie hasn't arrived yet, and the stagehands are setting up the greenscreens and props. None of them even glance at you, as expected. The Director must still be outside greeting Christie.

Goddess Sophie: "So, what's the plan here?"

Sophie: "I don't know yet. Gotta improvise. If I come up with some cool setup, I can always make it happen retroactively, can't I?"

Goddess Sophie: "Ah, you're already thinking non-linearly. Excellent."

Sophie: "...are you like, assessing me somehow? Are you gonna... promote me to a Goddess if I do well?"

Goddess Sophie: "Hah, no... Sophie, dear, you're already a Goddess."

Sophie: "Um, what?"

Goddess Sophie: "You're a Goddess by birthright. All versions of Sophie in every reality in which you exist are Goddesses. Your powers have only been manifesting for a few years, and in that time you've caused the multiverse to split into uncountable alternatives! You, me, and every other Sophie, we are all Goddesses of Probability."

Sophie: "...Wicked cool. What's that mean?"

Goddess Sophie: "It means that whenever some differing consequences might occur because of your actions, a quantum split will **** every possible different outcome into happening."

Sophie: "So if I currently control time, does that mean that the quantum split thing isn't actually happening? Because, you know, time is fully under my control?"

Goddess Sophie: "By no means! In fact it's happened twice since we met. The first time when you picked which power you want to use, and secondly when you decided to tease the director instead."

Sophie: "Hm... Wait. That means there's currenly another parallel timeline in which I decided to keep bullying Christie?"

Goddess Sophie: "Yepper-doodles."

Sophie: "Well! We can't be having that! My decision was final, and I can't have my alternate selves overstep my authority."

Goddess Sophie: "Ohohoo! This is getting juicy!"

Sophie: "With my powers, I can move between quantum splitted timelines, right?"

Goddess Sophie: "You'd have pretty fukken basic-bitchmade time powers if you couldn't."

Sophie: "Excellent. I'm out."
