Retribution

I was terrified, but also know that everything is going to be fine.

I hope.

My dad is the best lawyer in town. Sure, he made an absolute fool of himself on his first time in court, but who hasn't? Ever since then, he's been fantastic.

There's also the fact that Henry is innocent. All the police have to do is review the security footage of our dinner to show that.

But I'm still nervous. I don't know if Victoria has planned anything else, or if she was just ****.

So here I am, sitting with Henry's family, waiting for my dad to walk out with my boyfriend.

It took forever, but they did walk out with each other.

"BABY!" I exclaimed. I ran over to him and pulled him into a tearful hug.

"He's free to go. There will be an investigation, but the police has plenty of evidence that he's innocent. This probably won't even reach court," said my dad. I looked up at him and smiled.

"Thank you," I said before turning my attention to covering my boyfriend's face with kisses.

"I don't think we can ever thank you enough," said Tom, probably shaking my dad's hand.

I was a little distracted.

"Don't worry about it, and don't worry about the cost. I'm giving you the family discount," said my dad.

Yep, that's my dad. In many ways, he's my hero.

That is about the only thing going through my mind right now as I arrive at school the next day. Unfortunately, Henry made me promise not to do that.

But when I saw her spinning a wild story about how Henry "took advantage of her", I lost it.

"YOU BITCH!" I yelled, storming right up to her. I stopped just short of the punch, but just barely.

"YOU ACCUSED MY BOYFRIEND OR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING YOU JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T STAND THE FACT I LOVE HIM, EVEN THOUGH YOU NEVER CARED ABOUT ME!" I screamed, shocking the crowd.

"HENRY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU BESIDES SLASH SOME WATER ON YOUR FACE! HE'S NOTHING LIKE WHAT YOU THINK HE IS!" I yelled. Before Victoria could speak, Mike interrupted her.

"It's true, Victoria is lying. She couldn't handle that I dumped her," he said. Many people started to murmer and glare at Victoria before walking away.

In the end, we left her alone in that hall. Honestly, that was the best **** of all.
