Retreat with Samantha and the Queen's entourage

Alice searched the mountain castle for Samantha. Despite their pledge to fuck there hadn't been any time during the trip here. As soon as they started traveling Samantha was called into the Queen's wagon and was constantly discussing things with either her mom or a diplomat. Alice didn't understand why Samantha was so involved until one day she saw a glimpse of the Queen and Samantha going to a tree to have lunch.

As Alice and Queen were walking Alice notices the Queen. She looked far older than she had remembered, and she was noticeably limping as she walked over to the tree. Alice had met the queen a few times, and she never looked anything like that. She must be in bad shape, and so Samantha was being groomed to accept more responsibility. She could even become the acting regent if her mother deteriorated further.

Several days passed and finally they arrived at the Winter encampment. The first day passed and Alice went up to Samantha's room. Alice knocked on Samantha's door. She knew negotiations were done for the day so Samantha should be here. Alice smiled as the door opened and Samantha peered out. As soon as she saw Alice she ran out and gave her a hug. "Oh my god Alice. I'm so happy to see you. Quick let's go for a walk. I heard them talking about a potential dinner meeting, but if we go on a walk maybe they won't find us and we can spend some quality time together." Alice smiled and nodded back.

As they walked away from the castle Samantha talked about what had happened. She talked about learning about diplomacy and the Kingdom of Glotia. As they were walking they heard some footsteps nearby. They only had a second to act before whoever was there could see them.
