Retake After Retake !

"I had to get out of bed and walk over to the window seven times before they were satisfied" said Debbi. "In the nude ?" Sally wanted confirmed. "In the nude" answered Debbi. They were back in Sally's flat that evening, discussing the day's filming of the soap's late night special. "Sounds to me as if they were just enjoying having a naked Debbi prancing about" Sally suggested. "That did cross my mind too but they kept saying they had to adjust the lighting" Debbi replied. "Then Reg decided that when I was looking soulfully out the window, I was to actually climb up into the window seat and sit hunched over with my arms clasping my legs together. So that was another couple of takes" she continued.

"Still, that was it ?" Said Sally. "No" exclaimed Debbi. "Then they claimed we just need a shower scene !"

"I don't remember any shower scene in the script you gave me to read ?"

"There wasn't any but they said that was because there was no dialogue in it. I just had to take a shower."

"Why ?"

"God knows. They then decided that Brian should stand by the door and watch."

"In his tights ?"Sally giggled. "No, he'd got dressed by that point" Debbi chuckled.

"So that was finally it ?"

"Yeah, then the old lech asked me out to dinner."

"Brian ?"

"Yeah. That's when you came in handy. I politely refused saying that I couldn't let my girlfriend down !"

"Glad to be of service" laughed Sally. At that point, Debbi's phone rang. Sally listened to the one side of the conversation that she could hear. "Oh, hi Lawrence...it was fine, I'll tell you properly when I get home...yeah, lots of nudity... don't know how much they'll actually show but this is going out late night...really ? that sounds fun...sure, I'll be up for that...don't know, I'll ask her and call you back...ciao for now." Debbi clicked off the phone. "That was Lawrence" she said unnecessarily. "So I gathered" replied Sally. "What do you have to ask me ?" she wondered, intrigued.
