Restructuring her passions

“Hey sorry but I need to go to the bathroom Ren. I’ll meet you back here in a minute” Izuku screamed quickly before running away. Terrified from the direction this conversation was heading, so adorable.

“Alright dear Izuku, I’ll wait for you here” you say to him as he ran for his life. He likely thought you were teasing him, but you were serious. Very serious.

“Hey there what is this thing you were working on here?” you asked more out of pretext then anything.

“It’s my newest baby, a machine that puts the U.A. types to shame” she squealed with barely concealed enthusiasm.

“It looks very good but shouldn’t your efforts be used for a greater purpose?” you asked, ready to play your own mind game.

“Huh what do you mean?” she approached you appearing very confused.

“Tell me what do you think of Izuku?”

“Erm I think... er I think. Hmm” she mumbled causing a spark of rage to flare within you.

“Hatsume Izuku is the most wonderful man in the world. You consider him a person more important than anything in the world. Your passion, intelligence, and body will all be directed to enhancing his happiness” you declare to her, watching in her eyes as her passion for inventing become sidelined in favour of a love for Izuku “and am I right that your own desires irrelevant in favour of his own happiness?”

“You know this?” she asks, her usual enthusiasm disappearing in the face of her new reality “I was trying to keep it secret from Izuku to avoid scaring him off”

“You are not the only one who sees him that way” you say and her smile immediately brightened.

“I thought I was the only one, this means I’m not crazy” she squealed pulling you into a bear hug. You doubted the later part but were eager to have a companion in your quest.

“So now what?” she asked “any plans for how handle Izuku?”
