Man! I hate this! Nadia, why don’t you wanna hang out? Xiao Mei lay in her top bunk of her dorm room. She had tricked her roommate into giving her the top bunk.

“I think I saw some spiders up there…” she smiled.

Xiao Mei lay there. Resting butterfly. Bored outta her fucking mind.

Tinder? Maybe a quick hook-up would solve her boredom. She was looking for someone with abs on his abs. God. The selection was poor.

Her roommates hated her nocturnal activities. They thought it was secret meetings with her ‘boyfriend’ they had never met. But in fact it was stripping at Carte: Rouge. And not so innocent hookups. She made friends with a similar group of goodie-two-shoes Chinese exchange students. They sucked.

To avoid the annoying comments, she stayed over at Nadia’s. Plus Nadia made tiramisu and mac & cheese. Next level shit. Nadia was a better friend than any of those pretentious bitches. Probably the best she’d ever had.

Xiao Mei felt bad for Nadia. She had heard a verbal dribble of everything that happened at the circus. But she was still confused.

Apparently her ex-husband tried to kill Xiao Mei. Nadia had stopped him. But she found out something horrible. He had killed Alice.

“I’m so sorry Alice… If I never met you… If I never met you… You would still be alive…” Nadia wept.

Xiao Mei had called and even knocked on Nadia’s apartment door. It was quiet. She must have left somewhere. But without saying?!

Xiao Mei’s graduation was next week. Nadia said she was going to be there. Where are you?
