Rest the Night

"Very well." You say. "We will sleep the night here and leave in the morning. It's still too dangerous to head out now; there are still thugs roaming the streets and we are both tired and run ragged. We have been given the rare opportunity of safety and we shouldn't take this gift from the Gods lightly."

"I was hoping you would say so." Eudora admits. "My feet are killing me and my body is almost ready to collapse." She smiles at you. "If you say we will be safe, then I will be able to rest easy."

"Okay. Can you make some room?" You ask. "I will get those rugs we saw." Eudora salutes you humorously and begins to clear away some room on the floor by piling up the gold a little more neatly. You catch an eyeful as she drops to her hands and knees and you are reminded that the vest is all she is wearing. Her slit is very visible to you and you forcefully pry your eyes away in order to avoid a growing erection.

You hurry from the room and collect the rugs you saw earlier. They are heavy, but you manage to drag them both back to the room. You go back for a silk blanket to use as a covering. By the time you find one, Eudora has cleared away some room on the floor and together you spread out the rugs.

"There!" You say. "I dare say this is almost better sleeping accommodations than we had back at our Master's house."

"The company is better anyway." Eudora smiles. "And he's not our Master anymore, remember?"

"Right." You nod and smile. "Now how about some food?"

"I almost forgot." Eudora replies. "I got so wrapped up in these jewels." She stares at your bare chest and protruding ribs. "Of course, I at least had three square meals until recently. You need food more than I do."

"I've survived so far." You say, but your stomach growls as if to call you out. "I am hungry, though." You admit.

"Well, we better fix that problem." Eudora grabs your hand and almost pulls you out of the room gleefully. You continue to be amazed at how the giddy girl from your memories is still present in the girl you found here. The city failed to break her and seeing you again seems to have been all it took to restore her.

"Okay, let's take a look at these crates again." Eudora said, carefully avoiding looking at the dead body. You work together to break off the top of several weaker crates. To your pleasant surprise, a variety of cheeses and breads are at your disposal. You fill a small pot with all the food you can that isn't molding and bring it back to the room. Once you and Eudora are inside, you close the heavy door and lock it.

"Okay...we're safely locked away." You announce.

"I feel safer already." Eudora grins. "Of course, that probably has something to do with having you here with me." You find yourself blushing and Eudora covers her mouth to stifle a laugh. You sit down on the rugs next to her and indulge in the cheeses and breads. Besides being slightly old and slightly stale, it is delicious to your taste buds and very nourishing. It's the most food you have at one time in months. Eudora watches you eat for a bit before starting in herself, as if to make sure you got enough to eat.

After the food was gone, you both lie down on the rugs, letting the food digest. "Eating so much at once is going to come back to haunt me." You predict.

"You needed it." Eudora said. "And now, I think you need some rest. We both need it."
