Rest, Then Dinner

About an hour later we're all sitting around the table about to have dinner. I pretty much spent the last hour laying around and everyone else went back to their own business. We're all fully dressed again, waiting for Miss Nakai to finish setting the table. I gotta say it looks like a nice spread, and I can't resist starting early. Its not like anyone will think it's rude, so I grab some food and start chowing down. In the center of the table is a pot of stew, and Miss Nakai is passing out bowls. I don't wait for her to finish and just start filling mine up. After my first bite, I look over at Miss Nakai with newfound respect.

"This has gotta be the best thing I've ever eaten!" I tell her as she sits down.

"Miss Nakai makes the best food in the world!" Nonko says, filling her own bowl. The rest of them are finally ready to eat too.

"Oh please! You're embarassing me!" Miss Nakai tries to downplay her cooking, but I won't have it. My diet usaully consists of convenience store food, so this is like heaven for me! We all tuck in and start dinner in earnest, so I decide to start a conversation.

"So Sagiri's a ninja and Yuuna's a ghost. Are the rest of you regular humans, or are you like monsters or demons or something?" I ask. I'm joking of course.

"Well, Yaya is a human who's beeen possessed by a cat god." Sagiri says.

"Yeah, come out cat god. Meet Muryo." Yaya calls. Next thing I know, a giant fluffy cat appears next to her. She reaches out and pats its head, making it purr loudly. I guess that explains all the cat-like behaviour.

"And Nonko is an oni." Sagiri continues.

"Yeah, nothing special!" Nonko adds, brushing it off.

"I'm a zashiki-warashi. With my power, I can manipulate luck, be it good or bad." Miss Nakai says. "Although, there is a counter effect every time I do it." Luck manipulation huh? I don't think I'll be needing that, since I can manipulate the world already.

"Well I bet you guys didn't expect your new tenant to cum all over you on the first day huh? You should also get ready, because I'm probably going to fuck you all eventually." I tell them just wanting to add a bit of absurdity. Of course, they all just murmur in agreement and focus on their food.

I didn't actually expect them to be such interesting people. I guess it does pay to just ask. Good thing I have some experience with demons and ghosts, or this would freak me out. Of course, it does help that they're all so hot. Plus, despite the whole ordeal I instigated earlier, it does feel nice to just talk to them. I smile as we continue eating, lost in the fantastic meal.
