Resist biting him / The Devil's Child (S2)

Claire tried hard to fight the beast inside her and restrained herself from biting Leon, and it was about the same time that she was pushed away. She gasped and panted heavily in order to stay focused and regain control. By the time she saw things clearly, she noticed that Leon was aiming at her with his Matilda, with his face filled with pain and sadness.

“No... Not you too, Claire...” Leon shook his head with tears in his eyes. He held the pistol tightly and was ready to fire.

“Wait! I’m not like those monsters! I can control myself!” Claire raised her hands in hope of calming Leon down. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, forcing her fangs to retract. Her eyes were icy blue again when she opened them with a small smile on her face, “Please... I just need that vaccine to help Sherry...”

“What... What happened to you? And Sherry?” Leon was a little shaken by Claire’s change and frowned in disbelief. But he hasn’t lowered his gun yet.

“Sherry and I were both bitten and turned... But I took a vaccine after that and it helps me to better control my... condition...” Claire tried her best to explain the situation to Leon, “If you can give me the vaccine, Sherry won’t become one of those mindless vampires!”

“And then what?” Leon gritted his teeth and said in sorrow, “I promised Lieutenant Marvin that I won’t let this thing spread... If I let you get away...”

“Leon, I...”

Before the confrontation could get worse, the facility began to shake slightly and it distracted both of them a little bit. Suddenly, the wall behind the vaccine equipment was crushed and something came through it. When the dust settled, Claire could see clearly that it was a 9 feet tall giant humanoid creature in a black coat. This was the first time she encountered Mr.X, one of Umbrella’s most infamous bioweapons.

Mr.X performed a heavy strike and swept both of them over the edge of the balcony. Leon and Claire fell down to the lower level and landed badly. Leon got his back hit hard and the vaccine dropped from his hand. Claire thought she broke a leg and a few ribs, but they healed almost instantly due to her vampiric physique. And she took the advantage of it to grab the vaccine one step ahead of Leon.

“Claire...” Leon panted and quivered when he looked up at her.

“Come on, Leon... Don’t die on me.” Claire didn’t leave the injured Leon but helped him up, and she was surprised that she could almost lift a grown man like him up with her strength, “We must go before that thing gets us!”

He’s hurt and bleeding... Claire found it hard to look away from Leon’s neck when she’s supporting him. She bit her lips to hold her urges at bay, but it turned out to be a bad idea when her fangs grew again and cut herself. She almost lost it when her taste buds were stimulated by her own blood. She managed to control herself for now, but wouldn’t be able to for much longer.

Leon and Claire crawled through a vent to get away from the ferocious Mr.X and got to the worker’s break room. They were slowing down since Claire felt harder and harder to control her thirst around Leon, and Leon was still too weak to move faster.

“Hold on, Leon... I believe that this is the way out...” Claire pushed open the door and got them into the upper level of the waste disposal center. Remembering the map she saw before, Claire knew that they could get to the elevator from here.

Leon remained silent all this time. Knowing what a kind-hearted man he was, Claire knew that he must be conflicting. Neither of them knew what to do, so they could only leave it there for now.

But Mr.X wasn’t going to let them get away as it busted the door behind them only seconds after they left, and leaped on to them when they were going down a stair. The fragile structure couldn’t take such a heavy strike and collapsed.

“Jesus...” Claire barely managed to grab on a ledge of the broken stair, but both Mr.X and Leon fell down to the disposal center. “Leon! Are you alright!?” She yelled aloud with concern.

It seemed like Mr.X hit straight on the solid ground and suffered from serious concussion. However, Leon wasn’t much better as he fell on a slope first and slipped down there, hitting his back again. He could barely get up with his shaking legs and clicking spine, but he **** himself to when he realized that Mr.X was still moving.

“Leon! Hang in there! I’m coming down to get you!” Claire climbed up the stairs and assessed the situation. She believed that she could just jump down and recover in seconds. Maybe I could grab him and get him out of there, she thought while looking at the acid tanks around the center.

“No!” Leon shouted with what’s left of his strength, pulled out his gun and aimed at the twitching Tyrant. “Claire... Go help Sherry... in whatever way you can...” His voice was so faint that it felt like he was whispering, but he knew that she could hear him.

“Leon, what are you doing?” Claire looked at him with confusion.

“Just go!” Leon cried out aloud, and panted heavily after, “Please...”

Claire was shocked and speechless, as she vaguely understood the meaning and the weight of his words. She struggled for a few seconds before she made up her mind, jumped across the broken stair and landed on the other side. She glanced at Leon sadly one more time and left the room.

If her memory served her right, circling around the upper floor of the weapon test field could bring her to the elevator. Hopefully Sherry would be waiting for her there. Claire looked at the vaccine in her hand with a bitter smile. How many friends had I lost just for this little vial?

“Stop right there!” A familiar voice came from the front and Claire lifted up her head nervously.

“Claire!” Sherry screamed in horror as a silver bullet loaded pistol was held against her head by the crazy scientist, Sara Takahashi.

“Sherry...” Claire gasped and she turned to Sara angrily, “Should’ve guessed that you are a persistent bitch.”

“Drop your weapons and give me the vaccine.” Sara’s arms were shaking since she hasn’t had enough blood to fully control her body. The light of hunger was shining in her red eyes when she saw the purple vial in Claire’s hand, “Or Sherry dies...”

“I’m sorry...” Sherry spoke in a crying tone, “I’m just a burden...”

“No! Sherry, you’re not!” Claire yelled aloud and she angrily stared at Sara, “Damn it! If you-”

“Don’t fuck with me!” Sara shouted angrily and pressed the gun harder on Sherry.

“OK, OK...” Claire dared not to risk Sherry’s life, so she put down the grenade launcher. As instructed, she slowly crouched down, put the vial of vaccine on the ground and was ready to kick it towards Sara. When she picks it up, I’ll have the chance to kill her, Claire stayed concentrated.

Her plan didn’t go well as things got worse in just a second. Before she could kick it, something burst into the room and hit both of them. Sara released Sherry when she was wrapped by several huge tongues, while Claire fell down to the weapon test field, along with the vaccine.

“What the...” Claire got up and looked at the thing. Immediately she was shocked.

The G-Mass not only survived its encounter with those hunters, but consumed them, too. Twice the size, it has gained the essence of them as four flexible tongues were growing from the alligator’s mouth on its right arm, and they were wrapping Sara tightly.

“Claire!” Sherry was unharmed and remained on the upper floor. Looking at the abomination in front of her she stood still in horror.

“Get out of there!” Claire shouted nervously, “Go to the elevator! I’ll catch up to you!”

She nodded while shaking and ran away. When she saw Sherry was safe, Claire immediately ran towards the vaccine, which was lying on the ground a few meters away.

“Let me go!” Sara desperately struggled with all her strength, but she was outmatched by the G-Mass. She tried to use her gun, but there was no way she could aim it at the monster while her arms were being restrained. However, when she saw Claire going after the vaccine, the one thing that could save her from this hell, she was furious and lost her mind.

Just when Claire was about to pick up the vial, Sara fired and destroyed it.

“No!” Claire felt her mind go blank when the vial was cracked and the vaccine was contaminated and gone, “Do you know what you’ve done!?”

“I don’t care anymore! Hahahaha! Now you’re going to hell, with me!” Sara laughed frantically. And she continued laughing when she was being pulled into the alligator’s mouth, and torn into pieces.

And Claire just stood there and watched the abomination howl ravenously. All hope was lost and all of their struggles and sacrifices were in vain. She cried aloud with her fangs bared and her eyes red when the sadness became thirst, when the sorrow became anger, when the despair became bloodlust.

“This ends now!” The power flowing in her body temporarily purged the negative emotions in her mind and helped her concentrate. She broke the compartment at the far end of the weapon test field and, without effort, held the experimental next-gen railgun, the FINGeR, in her hands.

“Just die...”

Claire pulled the trigger after aiming at the body of the G-Mass. Fully charged, the FINGeR shot a high speed projectile and it easily destroyed the body structure of the abomination. The G-Mass screamed in pain and collapsed with a large hole on its chest, while the remains of its body began to burn from the heat. It was reduced to bones and ashes in seconds.

She dropped the damaged railgun, panting. She felt empty while walking towards the ladder that could bring her back to the upper floor. After walking through a long corridor, she finally reached the elevator. It should be able to take her to the roof.

Sherry... The little girl’s face flashed in her mind and she didn’t even dare to look at her. And the thirst was haunting her, too. She tried to concentrate her senses but the desire to feed was so overwhelming that she couldn’t even retract her fangs.

The alarm in the NEST rang again, indicating that the city would be destroyed by missile in less than an hour. Despite the emergency, her steps were slow, since she didn’t know what to do up there.

The Darkside Chapter - The Devil’s Child

Several minutes earlier.

Sherry was waiting for Claire quietly by the helicopter on the roof. She kept telling herself that everything would be alright, but she knew it wasn’t. She has heard the gunshot and Claire’s angry cry. She had a hunch what terrible thing had happened.

What should I do... What should I do... Sherry was nervous, but the more she thought, the more thirsty she became, and she couldn’t help but grab her throat to ease the pain. And it was at this moment that she saw someone coming up the stairs.

But it wasn’t Claire.

“Sam?” Sherry looked at the cute brunette with confusion, “You’re OK!?”

“Yes, Sherry... Mm...” Sam put a finger in her mouth and sucked it, blushing. Her eyes weren’t red anymore and Sherry couldn’t see the fangs in Sam’s mouth. “My master gave me another life... gave me everything! And you can have it, too!” Sam seemed to be drowning in pleasure as she gave an intoxicated smile.

“What? Your master?” Sherry frowned deeply, “What are-”

“Oh, Ms. Minervino is just being dramatic.” A young, entrancing male voice came next to her, “But I like it.”

Sherry was frightened and looked to the side. There was a man in a black cloak standing by her side, and she was certain that he wasn’t there seconds ago. She couldn’t see the man’s face, as there was a cloud of dark mist surrounding his face, preventing her from seeing clearly.

“Who are you...” Sherry asked with her body shivering. She couldn’t move her legs even though she knew that this man was extremely dangerous.

“Does it matter? But you, sweet little Sherry, you matter.” The Dark Man smiled, “William Birkin’s daughter, the devil’s child. We’ve finally met.”

“What... What do you want?” Sherry felt uncomfortable around the Dark Man, but there was nothing she could do.

“You see, your friend can’t save you. But I can.” The Dark Man gently pinched her chin to reveal her tiny fangs in her mouth, “As long as you accept my gift and become mine forever.”

Sherry was wondering what that meant, when Sam came to them and knelt down in front of the Dark Man. He wrapped her head in the cloak, and the next second Sherry could hear Sam moaning, licking and swallowing. The little girl didn’t know what was happening, but she could sense the unmatched pleasure from both Sam and the Dark Man, and it made her more thirsty.

“Ah...” When Sam was released, Sherry noticed that there was some white liquid around her mouth. “It’s really good, Sherry... The thirst and lust... they’re not painful anymore, only blissful...” Sam stood up while licking the remains of the Dark Man’s offering on her face.

“I think you’re beginning to understand now, Sherry.” The Dark Man came closer and looked her in the eyes, “You’re suffering. You are, and forever will be, a burden to your beloved friend, if you choose to stay with her. You will be bounding her with your thirst and make her suffer, too. But I can help you, I can release you... You will be mine forever but at the same time you will be free... Just like Ms. Minervino here.”

You know it’s true... That was the Dark Man’s voice. Sherry felt him invading her mind, and she knew it’s true in some way, too. Her thirst would never be satiated, and Claire would never give up taking care of her, never be able to move forward and have her own life.

“What do I do?” Sherry calmed herself down and looked at the Dark Man worriedly.

“Drink from me.” The Dark Man revealed his arm and bit on it with a smile. “I’ll show you a new world.” He whispered when he looked Sherry in the eyes.

When the unholy blood slowly poured out of the wounds, Sherry was licking her lips with hunger in her eyes, like it was more delicious than any human blood she had tasted. Sam was also in a state of euphoria when she smelled that blood, as she was rubbing her breasts intensely and moaning. Sherry found herself so attracted to the blood that she couldn’t move her eyes away.
