Rescue Jack

Recognizing the escalating panic in his eyes, you step in smoothly to save him, maintaining a flawless, unbothered hospitality.

“Actually, Lauren,” you interject calmly, checking the heavy wooden clock on the pavilion wall before looking back at the couple. “We might want to pause the session here for the afternoon. If we don’t head back up to the main lodge right now to prep the kitchen and start dinner, no one is going to eat before midnight.”

Lauren blinks, momentarily surprised, but she looks at the clock and nods in quick agreement. “Oh, you’re so right, Mark! Time completely got away from me. The slow-roasted duck takes hours to properly finish.” She turns back to Jack with a warm smile, entirely oblivious to his relief. “We’ll leave you two to relax and get dressed at your own pace. Take all the time you need.”

A visible wave of profound gratitude washes across Jack’s face. The tension leaves his shoulders, and he gives you a single, sharp nod. A silent acknowledgment that you just protected his dignity while validating the shared, unspoken secret now hanging heavily between the three of you.

Anne lets out a soft, sleepy murmur from her cradle, her body still delightfully heavy and limp from the massage. “Thank you, Mark... that was... incredible,” she whispers, her voice thick with pure relaxation.

You and Lauren gather the used oils and step toward the pavilion doors, leaving the couple alone in the warm, sunlit space to process the intense chemistry of the afternoon.
