Rent is due

It’s been a little under a month after Ella and Nathan started fucking. Ella, having abounded all hope of turning back started adapting to her new life.

After her first period the worry of getting knocked up fully hit her. While she wasn’t opposed to carrying her lovers child, Nathan has made it clear he wanted nothing of the sort. So with the help of the school nurse she started on a set of pills to help solve just that.

Since ‘Ella’ wasn’t enrolled at the university she completely stopped attending classes, figuring she had Nathan to take care of her. Even still she did have to take the occasional odd job to afford her feminine products.

Through some cleaver use of her old school email and a voice modular she convinced both Nathan and Ed that ‘Alex’ had moved overseas for family reasons. Since then the boys have been scrambling to fill the third room. Being mid semester, finding someone to take the vacancy is difficult and they have had little luck.

At the beginning of the new month Ella returns from a short checkup from the school nurse. She finds both boys at the kitchen table a stack of ripped open envelopes in front of them. Ed seems a bit tense, Nathan appearing to be attempting to calm him down.

“. . . And it will work out just fine, you’ll see, this time next month you will say, Nathan you brilliant son-of-a-bitch this is great” he smiles with that cocky grin the makes Ella’s heart flutter.

“What am I missing out on you two? Everything alright?” She walks past the couch throwing her bag from the nurse onto it and moves to stand behind Nathan, instinctively moving her hands to rub his shoulders.

Nathan’s smile beams at Ed “see she wants to help out, don’t you darlin’” he reaches up pulling her down for a kiss as they part Ella giggles “of course what’s going on” she takes a better look at the papers on the table recognizing them as their monthly bills.

Ed starts “well Ella as you know we have been trying to find someone to take Alex’s old room since you moved in with us and there is just nobody right now.” He sighs seeming a bit stressed “at this rate we might not be able to find anyone till the start of next semester and me and Nate can’t afford this place on our own for that long”

The funny feeling of both of them looking at her started to make Ella feel a bit worried. The only reason Alex had been able to afford his side of the rent was from his loans and without actual identification Ella didn’t know how she would be able to hold down a real job to help out. She looks down worriedly at Nathan, he picks up fast.

“Oh babe don’t worry, I have a plan. Now hear me out. . .”
