Remi dragged inside.

If the man was moved by Remi's attempts to appeal to his better nature, even in the slightest, he didn't show it. His face remained stone-still, carved into a mask of anger and indignation. "Do you understand what you've done to me?" he asked. He had those crazy eyes.

"No, sir," Remi said, looking at her feet. She really had no idea. This was Safiya's screw-up, after all. She was just the one footing the bill, as usual. She prayed silently that it wasn't a big deal, that maybe this time the bosses would take her side, that the guest would just let it go. Any of those would be good enough for her, but she needed something to save her skin on this one, any of them.

"Then how about I show you?" the guest said with a chilly tone. He grabbed her by the collar and hauled her through the doors. Normally Remi would complain that he was hurting her or that he had no right to touch the staff like that, but she didn't want to risk making him even angrier right now. Her job was on the line.

The man led her forcefully into a mid-sized suite, the most common variety on board the ship. Whoever this guy was, he wasn't some sort of big shot that had any good reason to treat her like this. He probably didn't have anything that important going on, anyway. He was just one of those guys that got off on their own ego, dreaming of righteous anger at servants and waiters and hotel clerks for the smallest mistakes. Well, now he had Remi by the collar, and she didn't have much choice but to listen to what he had to say to her.
