Remember this? (Photo App)

I always hated how those apps would bring up memories, posts from years ago - it felt like they were mocking me, almost.

Not this time. My photo app had popped up a photo from this time last year; a selfie, of me and Sarah together, having the time of our lives.

Maybe that was why I'd had the weird dream.

I finished my breakfast, thought about what I had to do today. Probably clean up a bit. The living room was a mess; I'd never been a particularly tidy person, and living alone hadn't helped that. I went to start straightening things out, but then I noticed something.

I hadn't seen it before, in among all the clutter, but there was a note. Not in my handwriting. But more importantly, under the note...a pair of panties.

I read it and reread it. This was _Sarah's_ handwriting. Could that dream have been real after all? Surely not. That was insane.

I stumbled to my desk, cleaning forgotten. The book was still there. The same writing on the page. Had it actually worked?

Surely not?

What was that quote? Once is luck, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action?

Well, not quite enemy action in this case. A different type of action altogether.

At any rate, I needed to know more. The logical/engineering/scientist part of my brain was saying this couldn't be true. But if it was, there was an easy way to test it...right in my hands.

How? I could try Sarah again. Damn she was hot. But that wasn't a good test, really; it could just be that she wanted to get back together.

One of her friends, I guess? Someone who wouldn't have gone for me previously - who thought of me as off limits because, I mean, you don't date your friend's exes. Obviously.

Maybe one of the girls from college? There some real hotties there. Not that I ever managed to get up the courage to do anything more than sit next to them in tutorials.
