Reluctantly yes

Naoto didn't trust this couple at all. But she had **** but to hear them out after all she had no idea where their friend's stuff was hidden or worse if she said no they might just remove them entirely from their hiding spot. She sighed and said "Okay... I'll play along for now"

"Glad to hear it," said the boy as he whispered something into the girl's ear creating a massive grin on her face

The boy started talking"Here's the game. All of your stuff is somewhere safe around the beach. We're not gonna tell you where they are however we will give you some hints if you for a price".
"What is the price?" Naoto asked, He replied, "For one hint you have to hand over one article of clothing." Naoto's face became red beet. "What? There's no way I can do that"
"Suit yourself," The couple said as they started walking away.

Naoto got a hold of herself. It was clear they were planning on toying with her. But right now they held all the cards if she had any hopes of coming out on top she had to play along.

The couple kept walking until they saw a shoe at their feet. Turning around Naoto stood tall missing a shoe. "Alright I gave you my shoe now give me a hint"
The couple grinned and picked up her one shoe. The girl said, "Alright the stuff isn't around this area." Naoto's eyes widened, "What kind of hint is that? I already looked around here I already knew it wouldn't be right here"
The girl just started laughing "Well for such a tiny item you shouldn't get any big hints." Angry Naoto quickly removed her other shoe and tossed it to them "Fine! But if you repeat the same hint twice we're done here"
The boy said "Alright your friends don't have the stuff you are looking for" Naoto started to grow frustrated. Another useless hint. "If all the hints are gonna be like this I might as well stop here"
"Well we are only giving these poor hints because you aren't willing to give up on anything more interesting" The boy replied
Naoto's frustration grew but decided to give them one last thing, before leaving them. She took off both of her socks and tossed them at the couple. "There I'm barefoot. Now you better give me a useful hit or I'll look for it myself."
"Okay, the items are somewhere west," They said picking up her socks. Naoto sighed. while the hint wasn't exactly a big help it at least gave her something to go off. She looked around for potential areas but before she started walking around she turned to the couple and asked "How do I know you won't move everything somewhere else?" The couple looked at each other and the boy calmly said "Don't worry. We are gonna follow you everywhere. After all, we're gonna need to pick up more clothes when you need another hint"

Naoto grew frustrated at the word when. She was determined to make sure she wouldn't need any more hints. And began her search barefoot through the sand.
Unfortunately, the hint didn't leave her with a lot of options the beach was big went along for a long time and west was a lot of ground. And the whole time the couple was just following behind her smirking at her lack of progress. After about 10 minutes Naoto didn't see anything that could lead her closer so frustrated she began wondering if she should go for another hint. Or perhaps if she kept going a little further she'd find another lead herself.
