Reinforcing the message

"Ladies, you have heard the policy. Copies of the Code of Conduct are here and you can pick one up on your way out. To emphasise Dean Hawkfeather's statements, familiarise yourself with the rules, and govern yourselves accordingly." As she looks around the room you see many students drop their eyes, unwilling or unable to meet her gaze.

After several moments of letting the silence build she clears her throat and softens her tone as she starts to talk about upcoming events. She mentions the social with Hamilton school, the charity auction, and an open house, among other things, and then touches on some administrative details.

The students slowly relax as she speaks, and there is some giggling at the mention of the auction and the social. You can tell that Dean Hawkfeather's message has not been forgotten, however, as at one point or another the eyes of every girl in the room look at him. Their expressions range from fear to dismay to excitement to speculation.

You wonder if the Dean is prepared for the storm he has unleashed as the meeting ends and you stand up.
