The four of you stop near the center walkway while Pulse moves around you in every direction.

Bass shakes through the floor hard enough that you can feel it in your chest while lights flash across packed crowds moving between the different sections of the club.

Girls squeeze past constantly. Everywhere you look feels distracting.

The front of the club glows underneath blue neon lighting around the massive bar area.

The middle pulses with bodies dancing shoulder-to-shoulder underneath flashing lights.

And farther back, the darker booth section almost disappears into shadows while couples lean close together talking into each other’s ears.

“So,” Rob says while rubbing his hands together dramatically. “Where we going first?”

“The front’s probably easiest,” Tony says while scanning the bar area. “Girls are actually standing around talking over there.”

“Safe,” Rob says dismissively.

“Normal,” Tony corrects.

“The middle’s where the real action is,” Rob says while nodding toward the dance floor.

“You say that because you think grinding counts as flirting,” Tony says.

“It does.”

“No it doesn’t,” Tony replies.

Your eyes drift toward the back booths again.

“That back section is dangerous,” Chris mutters.

“That back section is beautiful,” Rob replies proudly.

“You disappear back there and we’re not seeing you for two hours,” Tony says.

“That’s the goal,” Rob answers.

The guys keep arguing while your eyes slowly drift across the club again.

Front.

Middle.

Back.

Three completely different energies.

Three completely different ways the night can go.

And all three suddenly sound good.
