Refresh, regroup, return, retry
It was early in the morning when you returned to the burial grounds. Trevolia had returned to the Wizards guild for more study, so you were once again left alone with Joan and Clodagh. Well rested and with the Princess' words in your mind, you feel confident that today will be strictly business. Your two companions seem to be on their best behavior up to this point, and as you found out first hand yesterday, messing around inside is too dangerous.
"Well" Clodagh begins "You two've already been here, so I reckon one of y'all should be heading down first"
"We headed in rather swiftly" You respond "I don't know that we'd be great guides"
Joan adds in "We don't know where this treasure is. All we can say for sure is the Draugr are awake and hungry, so we should be going in fighting". She motions at her pack "I went and got some potions while you two were busy, so I think we can handle ourselves."
"Well let's get to it!" Clodagh said as she lifted her large axe and charged in recklessly. You look at Joan with a stern face,
"You sure know how to pick them."
"Oh come now. This will be fun; imagine the story you'll get to tell when this is over. That's your whole thing isn't it, bard?" Joan rushed in to support her friend, leaving you no real choice but to head in after them. The ensuing clash of enemies was heard well before it was seen. The sound of sharp metal cutting through rotten flesh was sickening, made all the worse when you turned the corner to find that Clodagh had decapitated her first foe, it's magical eyes still glaring at you hungrily. You give it a nervous kick, which causes the two to turn towards you and laugh.
"Look at that" Joan giggles "the big bad orc's just a big softie."
"Ya, you'd think it was his first dead thing" Clodagh replied
"It is." You retort "you'll have to forgive me for not barreling in like a pair of fools." You move past them, figuring that being in front of them can help stave off some of the chaos.
"City boys" Clodagh smirks, talking to Joan "always afraid to get their hands dirty"
"You don't know the half of it" the drow responded "But, that's what we're here to help fix. Along with the treasure"
Even when she's not seducing you, Joan knows how to push your buttons. Convinced to prove yourself, you walk further ahead, whether they come along or not. The paths are indistinct, but you figure any pathway that takes you deeper underground is likely the correct one. You find another Draugr in just a case, before going down a decrepit stairway. Removing your flute, you play an usual set of notes; something that would not be a part of any melody or chord that you're familiar with. They are, however, a critical verbal component to your spell. On the last note, a trio of purplish magical bolts fly out of the end of your flute, heading straight into the body of the enemy. The bolts all found their target, though it's difficult to tell how much they injured the undead being. With distance to clear, you stash the instrument in a hurry and retract your rapier, hoping you can find something internally to make this thing stop. Just before you start to take a defensive position to deflect the great hammer of the Draugr, a whoosing feeling goes past your face, as a bolt from a crossbow goes past you and strikes in the center of the chest, breaking the frail ribcage inside, and weakening it's ability to stay intact. Staggered, you make your planned thrust. You strike vertebrae, and in such a way that the hulking mass collapses on the floor.
Turning behind, you see Joan, with Clodagh right behind
"Neat trick" she adds as she reloads her weapon "But that alone isn't going to keep you alive in here. You need us, just like we need you, okay?"
"Sure" You nod in acknowledgement "You two clearly know what you're doing"
"We didn't survive by being idiots" Clodagh replied as she walked past you, than start jogging off. You hear a loud shout, indicating that she's off in another fight.
"Come on, backup" Joan pats your shoulder gently. You head off together, handling a pair of the undead with relative ease. The two on the floor, you look around to see that there's nowhere further to descend.
"Did we miss something?" You ask openly "You'd think we would have found it going to the deepest point."
"I would think a nobleman like yourself would know better" Joan's playful chiding continued as ever "Do you leave your treasure out for everyone to see, or do you keep some things hidden?" She searched around the stone brick walls, her hands combing for something. "There you are..." She said softly, and with a gentle push, a jutted stone moves inwards, opening a secret room. The stolid air of this contained space assaults your nose, worse than the dead had. From the space comes a charging undead behemoth. Draugr, like the others, but signficantly taller, his armor more intact and ornate. Panic sets in, and you find yourself unable to deflect as the greatsword cuts clear across your midsection. The pain overwhelms you; the first strike you've ever faced in real combat, it feels like it could easily be the last. You hear a fierce battlecry as you try to regain your bearing. Clodagh, again seemingly larger than even more fierce than before, races towards the enemy with no fear. Swinging her ax with both hands in a fierce, wide arc, it connects near the shoulder of the enemy, harming his favored sword arm. Joan, showing a masterful dexterity and coordination, uses two crossbows, firing one rapidly after the other, before dropping them both to secure her blade. Refocusing, you're too worried about getting in there again; an attack like that could kill you. Instead, you rely on your occult knowledge. Casting a spell on Clodagh's greatax, it shines with a strange green light for a moment, becoming magical in nature. Hoisting the weapon overhead, she takes a daring, even foolish strike straight downward that left her open to attack. It connects, breaking through armor and severing the animated husks body to become dead once again.
The threat over, Joan quickly runs to you, pulling a potion out and putting it to your mouth.
"It's not quite a brandy Silve, but this will make you feel better. Just sit for a moment, Clodagh and I've got this handled. Good job" Taking their advice, your two teamates head into the empty space, finding an opened casket that the warrior must have left from.
"I think we got it" Joan said, walking back with some intricate jewelry in hand "how are you feeling there big guy?"
"That was pretty scary" You reply vaguely "Glad it's all over"
"And glad to be in one piece, no doubt" Clodagh adds. "that was a nasty swipe. Are you still in pain?"
"A little, ya, but nothing I can't walk off."
"What do you think?" Clodagh looks at Joan, and they both start smiling.
"Oh, I whole heartedly agree"
"Agree with what?" You ask worryingly
"We know a little secret medical technique that'll definitely put the spring back in your step" as joan speaks, Clodagh shoves you in your shoulders, pushing you flat on the floor. You can already sense where this is going, as your two female companions swarm you near your pants. Joan unbuttons your pants, while Clodagh is the one to actually free your orc cock out and slowly starts to stroke it.
"Fuck" she commented as it slid in her hand "To think we could have lost this".
You know you need to put a stop to this. If you don't say or do something right now, you'll never be able to say no them again at this point, but the sight of two pretty mouths approaching your rigid green flesh may prove too much...
