Chapter 14
by FredWeasleyLives1
What does Cindy have to do with this problem?
Red Gives Me A Choice.
I walk back to my car with my wife holding my hand. It is more like Red is leading to me to my car because I am almost too confused to walk. I have just confessed to my wife that I want a baby and gave her an adoption agency and a sperm bank as options. The confusing part is that Red has hinted about a third option that somehow involves her friend Cindy. Is that possible? We are both women. My name is Vanessa, remember? And what is this part about Cindy being able to help. Don't get me wrong. I really love Cindy. She has become as much my friend as she is Red's. However, unless Cindy is some all powerful witch, there is nothing she can do about the problem I am having. I sit down in the passenger seat of our car while Red gets in the driver's seat and takes out her cell phone to call her friend. My mind is swirling with thoughts and I am only able to hear Red's half of the conversation.
"Hello, Cindy?... Yeah, It's me, Red... Listen, can we have dinner at your house tonight?... Yes, everything is fine... We just have something we would like to discuss with you... Thanks, we'll see you in a couple of hours. Bye!"
I let Red drive to Cindy's because I needed to decide if I was going to go with this third plan of Red's instead of going to a sperm bank which was starting to sound pretty good to me. It was a little nerve racking teaching my wife how to drive although it was also rewarding because I would reward Red with a kiss every time she did something right. I seemed to loose track of time because of my thoughts and we arrived at the woods where my adventure got started.
We parked the car in a clearing and walked the rest of the way to Cindy's. When we got there, Cindy hugged Red first and then me. By the time we got there, Cindy was wearing a pink apron over her red dress. Dinner was ready and Cindy cast aside her apron before sitting down with us. We ate beef stroganoff with carrots on the side. We had sparkling water to drink. Cindy is a good cook, but not as good as Red of course. When dinner was over, Cindy looked at the two of us with a piercing gaze.
"Well, what is it?" Cindy prodded.
"Tell her, honey," Red advised which made me nervous.
"I... well... I want to have a baby," I croaked out.
"I thought the two of you were going to ask me for advice about this sooner or later," Cindy answered with a wide grin. "I have a suggestion."
How does Cindy help the married couple?
