Recruit the just-passed hunter

Jessica had no weapons, and this was the very job of the huntsman to hunts beasts, Jessica fled back around the corner to the torch wielding man.
She hesitated, her earlier icy response not helping her current situation. His gaze was already on her, perhaps not even having turned from watching her turn the corner originally. She stopped at the top of the steps, still exposed to the street.

"Scourge beast!" Jessica blurted out, composure breaking, "Just around the corner here!"

"Whats this now?" The hunter responded, confusion plaintive in his voice.

"Theres a scourge beast right on the street around the corner" Jessica repeated, emphasizing the words scourge beast.
"So you" the hunter replied, painfully slow, "are telling me, that if I were tah go 'round' that corner there, I'd meself a scourge beast"

"YES" Jessica loudly responded exasperated

"I don't believe you." the hunter replied contemptuously, turning away from her..

Anger boiled in Jessica, "WHAT IN THE GOO-"
And she felt a sudden sharp edge press to her neck, registering the big furred arms that grasped at her.

Its weight pushed her down hard to the ground, and she could already feel the heat of its lupine cock against her buttocks.
Before any further defilement could occur, the sound of breaking of glass overhead gave her hope, and the bloom of fire's heat gave her vindictive pleasure as the beast reeled back off of her. In a nearly comedic action it began to roll on the ground, tongue lolling. Jessica crawled further away.

"Away with you!" the hunter shouted, throwing another makeshift grenade at the scourge beast. he undershot it, but the second blossom of fire was enough to give the smoldering beast reason enough to run.

And then the night was quiet, save Jessica's ragged breathing.

After an all too long pause, the hunter's voice broke the silence. "Beasts don't attack their own. Sorry I doubted yah miss. Ifit means anythina to ya, I'm glad ya alive. Lemme walk you home."
