Recovering

Rikki knew after her last fight with the Rogue Knight she needed time to heal. She wouldn’t be able to save anyone in her beaten state. She used her sick days to get time off work and despite his attempts she refused to see Finn. He would have to many questions and she couldn’t blame him. Devin messaged every now and again but she rarely replied. She remained hidden in her apartment only leaving to get food or alcohol. Things had changed for Rikki. She knew being a hero was dangerous but in ten years of being Nightingale she’d never come that close to dying.

She thought about going back out there, fighting crime, tracking down those weapons but she felt different. She was hesitant. She was afraid. Not to mention she needed a new suit. Good thing she had a guy for that.
