Recollection with Wonder Woman

"Mmmmmhhh... right there."

Shayera writhed in bliss as Diana's expert tongue snaked around between her folds, headed full steam towards another body shaking climax. Since her threesome with Princess Koriand'r & Mary Jane Watson, Shayera had found that the more sex she had with other women, the clearer her memories became. She was now sure of it -- she'd had many past lives, and many lovers in those past lives -- and they were all connected somehow. And this 'Dark Phoenix' Kori had mentioned to her definitely had something to do with it. How did it all fit together?

While Shayera had more questions than answers at this point, they were far from the front of her mind Diana made her climax; even with all the questions Shayera had at this point, she was sure of one thing -- she really, really liked sex with women. And Wonder Woman was an expert on the subject. Knowing of Diana's sapphic background and nature as an Amazon, Shayera went to her asking for help regaining her memories, and Diana was more than eager to lend a hand (or her tongue) to assist her teammate.

"Oh, yeah... I'm so close now... YES!"

Shayera wailed blissfully as she came, her senses overloaded. As waves of intense pleasure coursed through her body, Diana slowed her tempo, content to drink in the results of her efforts. Satisfied, she withdrew her tongue from Shayera's tunnel and proceeded to kiss her way up Shayera's body.

As Shayera's orgasm, faded memories of another past life came flooding back to her. Another beautiful lover. The same fiery bird -- the Phoenix. But the picture was still far from whole; what had happened to her in her past lives? What had happened with the women she'd loved? What role did the Phoenix play in all of this? She still couldn't make sense of it.

Diana slid up to lie beside Shayera before pulling the Thanagarian on top of her. Shayera responded by giving her a grateful kiss, to which the Amazon smiled warmly in response.

"Did you regain any more memories?" Diana asked.

"Yes. Another past life... this one in Victorian England," confirmed Shayera. "But I'm still not sure I'm any closer to solving this mystery."

"I'm sure you can piece this together with everything else you've learned," an optimistic Diana reassured. "And if nothing else, I've enjoyed our time together lately..."

Shayera blushed and smiled. "Mmm. That makes two of us. You are a noble yet formidable warrior, Diana -- It has been an honor fighting side by side with you. But I think you may be even more awe-inspiring as a lover -- and it is an even greater pleasure to share your bed."

Diana looked into Shayera's eyes, fingers lightly tracing the small of the Hawkgirl's back. "The feeling is mutual, Shayera. Now, if you don't mind me asking -- when did you first start... shall we say, 'recalling' your past?"

"Upon kissing a mutual acquaintance of ours, actually... and her lover," Shayera explained. "Princess Koriand'r of Tamaran."

Diana smirked, immensely amused. How serendipitous was this? "Koriand'r & and Mary Jane Watson? I'm more than 'acquaintances' with them... much more."

"That seems like quite the coincidence," Shayera mused. "Maybe it's more than that. Anyway, after enjoying a wonderful tryst with them, I found more memories coming back to me. My past lives, they all follow a pattern... I meet a woman, we grow close, we fall in love... and then it all ends somehow. In addition, I have visions of a bird of fire, one Koriand'r called the Dark Phoenix."

"The Phoenix ****... the Amazons spoke of it. Many believe it to be merely a legend," Diana observed.

"It's more than a legend -- I'm certain of that now," Shayera said, no doubt in her voice whatsoever. "And I'm linked to it in some way. If I could somehow find the bearer of the Phoenix ****, I'm sure most -- if not all -- of my questions would be answered... but I don't know where to start looking."

"I understand. The Phoenix **** is an enigma. But you don't have to look for its host alone," Diana encouraged, showcasing the optimism that had brought the Justice League together so many times in the past. "We'll find her."

Shayera agreed. "I believe so, too. I just hope this host is on our side..."

The Xavier Mansion

Common Room

"Morning, Hank," Jean said as she walked into the common room, cup of coffee in hand.

"Good Morning, Jeannie. How's my favorite redheaded telepath today?"

"Exhausted. I couldn't sleep at all last night," Jean muttered.

"Another nightmare?" Hank wondered, looking up from his tablet.

"I don't think they're nightmares," corrected Jean. "But they're extremely vivid. They're intense. I feel like they're more than simple dreams."

"I still think you should speak to Charles about all this," Beast suggested. "You haven't been the same since our last sojourn to the stars."

"I will... eventually," Jean answered. As much as she'd wanted Professor X's help in sorting out these dreams, she'd felt a little embarrassment at what he might find; in the dreams she'd been having, she always saw a woman; a woman she shared a deep, profound connection with, as if they'd been in love for millennia. But when she would wake up, she couldn't recall the woman's face.

Beyond that, Jean felt more powerful than she'd ever felt in her life, as though her abilities were now limitless. She'd flexed her sudden power recently, and it had benefited the X-Men so far. But it also worried Xavier, and he'd been hoping to have an in-depth discussion with Jean about it. She'd avoided the conversation so far, but she also knew that it was a conversation she needed to have with her mentor -- and soon.

Still, even with her new power, one question gnawed at her mind more than any other: who was that dream woman?
