Chapter 9 by tinkerobi2

Examine what first?

Reception desk

You decide to start at the most obvious place, the desk. From the front it was a solid enclosed dark wooden desk, wide with a slight curve in its design that would give more workspace for whoever is sitting there, and a small privacy lip around the desk to restrict those looking over at whatever is on the desk itself, behind that was what appeared to be a very plush leather chair.

Walking around the table you are greeted by the huge chair and cant resist sitting in it right away, pulling it out and slipping yourself in. And its just as comfy as it looked, you can feel your whole body melt into the padded leather as you relax while looking over the desk, even if there is nothing of note down here, this chair is going to be taken upstairs for better use!

The desk itself was very initially very boring, a stack of blank papers on one side, a writing pad and empty stationary drawer in the middle, then to the other side some kind of golden pattern etched into the desk above a set of built in drawers. Oddly the golden pattern was the first dusty area of the room you have seen so far.

The drawers didn't appear to be anything unusual, the top 2 of the 3 being locked by some a small key, one that you didn't have, if you didn't find it around here somewhere you imagine it wouldn't be difficult to find a way to pick it.

The final drawer contained 3 bottles, they were all of a vintage design with patterns embossed into the glass or potentially crystal because of the shape of the sides, extremely wide at the bottom before tapering rapidly to the neck half way up, each one had a crystal stopper in the top. You put them on the table in front of you and while dull, they are Green, Blue and Red, while heavy for a bottle, you cant see or feel if they contain any liquid.

Bottles, Doors or the golden design, where next?
