Reawakening

Aqua POV - flashback

I sure am brillant at staying away from danger, this is my third chance at life, three days ago i woke up at the hospital at around 11 pm just when Ruby was going to sleep, she screamed loudly and slapped a button on the wall before jumping in my arms and crying. It took three doctors to pull her off me and calm her down, and first thing in the morning Miyako was called and I had miraculously (plot armor) recovered and was driven home.

End of flashback

It’s a normal boring evening, we are eating the dinner Miyako had left for us when she left for a meeting or something. “say ahhh bro” Ruby said and poked my lips with her fork, a piece of steak juicy steak was at the end, I opened my mouth and ate it “Ruby I can eat just fine, you don’t have to feed me” my twin pouted “you let Akane feed you the other day why can’t I?” “That is a bit different, you know what fine” my sister began shining like a star as she began feeding me. “Ruby” “hm yes” she answered and I had her attention “I noticed that I never said sorry for nearly leaving you behind” tears formed in her eyes “it’s okay you idiot” she sniffled, “but if you dare trying again I’ll kill you” “I promise I’ll never do it again” I smiled and hugged her. “When I was drowning I could only think about how much it hurt until I heard a song, the song you were performing, and I felt warm and the water around me got more light as if a giant star illuminated me” I pulled away and held her shoulders “you illuminated my world even when it was at its lowest and darkest, you are the thing that fills the hole in my heart Ruby, you are my one and only star”

Corny, I know but I felt like making it a bit corny because I wanted to add more weight to the words, it hits differently than if it was “you are my one and only something” it wouldn’t hit the same
