As I sat across from Luraine, her stern gaze was fixed on Natalie and me. I could feel my heart hammering in my chest as I held my breath, waiting for her to speak.

"Mark has made an... interesting argument on your behalf," she began, her voice surprisingly gentle compared to her icy demeanor. My heart fluttered with a spark of hope. Could this be going better than expected?

Mark had argued our case, explaining that our antics were simply a playful means of teasing and hazing him for his prior harsh behavior towards me. He argued that when things got out of hand, Natalie and I had done everything within our power to make things right.

To our relief, Luraine was somewhat swayed. She saw the lengths we had gone to in order to rectify the situation. However, her forgiveness came with a condition. As it turned out, someone had taken a video of our moves from our time working at the strip club and shown it to Mark, who then showed it to Luraine.

"I'd like you both to head up a special after-hours class," she proposed, her eyes hard and demanding. "You'll teach the moves you used when fixing your mess." The commitment we had shown in the video had impressed her, but she was clear that this wasn't a get-out-of-jail-free card.

Natalie and I exchanged glances. A much better outcome than we had feared. We agreed to Luraine's terms, grateful for the opportunity to make amends, though aware that without the hypno driving us, it would be both a harder and easier task.
