The Millennial War between Heaven and Hell

Heaven and Hell have been wagering war with one another since the very beginning of time, the success of either side is determined by the number of casualties inflicted and the main reward for victory is a change in the amount of influence the Angels and Demons may have on humans. As well as this, slain foes forfeit a portion of their power to the victor, meaning lowly Demons can become a formidable foe in one night.

Because of it's high stakes and possibly glory, the battles held every 1000 years are extremely popular on both sides, and generally have an attendance of an uncountable number of billions, these battles as a rule of thumb only last 24 hours, but typically a Demon or Angel can expect to spend anywhere between a second to several hundred years in the Abyss, fighting for their lives and glory.

Dying in the Abyss

If you die in the Abyss you are sent directly to Purgatory. This is the domain of ****, one of the three in the triangle of omnipotence (God, Satan and ****). If you find yourself in this domain expect a very long, boring wait to be judged and do not expect to return to where you came (Heaven, Hell or Earth) as this judgement involves a lot more scrutiny.

The wait in Purgatory can be anywhere from a hundred to several thousand years (longest recorded wait: 2,457 years) and has a success rate of 99.9% of driving Angel, Demon and humans insane.

Baal, Prince of Gluttony

Baal is well respected as the 5th prince of Gluttony, known as mind-bender and insanely powerful amongst his peers, Lucifer himself tries to stay on his good side. Holds 60 Legions of Demons in the army.

Mastema, Angel of Destruction

Mastema is son of Lucifer the 1st prince of Pride, he is well known for his prowess on the battlefield, and for his ability to bring torment and wrath wherever he goes. He was born in Heaven, hence his title of Angel, and is known as the flatter of God as he convinced God to let him stay for 500 years, whilst he corrupted human minds without God's knowing. Once he held 33 Legions of Demons, after his **** in the last Millennial War he now has none.

Angel&Demon Weapons

Angel's and demons weapons are summoned simply from them willing it, these weapons are created through their own levels of power plus their moral compass and personalities help shape it. For example a huge, hulking demon who loves smashing things would summon a dark, fiery hammer whereas a small, weak but quick Angel could summon two golden knifes.

These weapons typically have magical powers imbued in them giving their holder more prowess on the battlefield.
