"...Yuma-chan?" Issei asked, already on edge. "Boost," he thought, triggering his Sacred Gear's doubling of his power. "What are you here for?"

"Didn't I just tell you?" the Fallen Angel sneered, pointing one of her light javelins at him. "You have something that belongs to me. And you're going to return her... Also, my name isn't Yuma, that was just a fake name I used to kill you..."

"... you're after Asia," Issei stated quietly. "Boost," he mentally activated his Gear again. His mind raced. Every idea he had learned to try to stall an enemy was about to be put to the test, he could tell already. First libe of defense, talk as long as possible. Second, avoid her attacks and try to keep her from taking him seriously. "...why did you go to so much trouble just to kill me? Why not ambush me like you are now?" he asked slowly, trying to get as much time conversing as possible.

"Honestly? You actually seemed kind of cute, and it was a good opportunity to practice my undercover skills," she shrugged carelessly.

"Boost."

"For what it's worth, I was actually starting to like you a bit, which is why I acted when I did rather than keep up the lie," Raynare added, casually playing with the spear, contemplating throwing it. "I didn't want it getting harder to do. But a job was a job, and my superiors deemed your Gear a potential threat. I don't see what the big deal is though," she added, looking at the gauntlet. "All it is is a double of your stats, which is worth little if they were trash."

"Boost. Good, keep thinking that it's only a single passive doubling," Issei thought.

"Granted, you might have been more of a challenge if you could promote as a Pawn, but we're in your turf, not ours, so that ability isn't any help to you," Raynare continued.

"...I loved you, you know..." he said quietly. "Boost."

She shrugged. "That was the point, I would have done a poor job if you didn't. But we're getting off topic," she added. She pulled back her arm, preparing to launch the spear. "Where is Asia?"
