Raspberry Iced Tea

Betty picked up her raspberry iced tea from her table. She started walking past Lauren, looking ahead as though she was just passing by. Lauren, who was stealing glances at Betty's boyfriend, didn't even seem to notice. That was until Betty 'tripped' and flung her drink all over Lauren!

"AHH!" Lauren yelped, shocked by the cold liquid splashing her. "YOU idiot!"

"O.M.G.! I'm so sorry!" Betty cried out. "Here, let me help you!"

Betty grasped some napkins and started dabbing at Lauren's dress. Lauren sputtered in shock, makeup streaking down her face. At the other table Jill laughed under her breath, watching the display while Brad the boyfriend stared in confusion.

Lauren, snapping out of her shock, pushed Betty's hands away.

"Stop it, you moron!" She exclaimed.

"Look, I'm so sorry!" Betty said. "Let me make it up to you."

"And how could you do that?!" Lauren shot back angrily. She was humiliated! There were dozens of people staring and laughing in the food court. Lauren hated to be laughed at!

"Well, it looks like your dress might stain." Betty said. "I can wash it for you so it won't."

"Don't be an idiot! What would I wear while you did this?" Lauren rolled her eyes. This girl was obviously half brain dead, Lauren thought.

"Well, there's two options." Betty explained. "I could buy you an outfit here at the mall, then we could wash the dress while you wore that. Or, if you prefer you could come back to my house, borrow some of my clothes and use my washer."
