Raptor Squad, roll out

“Yes, this one is of our trip to the Jurassic World,” Starfire says, showing the photo of her, James, his twin and several other kids and characters riding velociraptors. “James’ family had split his siblings up to take them to one of six adventure worlds to participate in the spring break.”

“There’s a dinosaur theme park somewhere?” Laura asked, thinking of the Savagelands in her universe.

“There was a popular movie series about it,” Katara tells her. “We watched it before you got here I think.”

“Is it like Dino Safari?”

“Maybe?” Katara and Aelita gave an overview of the Jurassic Park series.

“Sounds like a better version of Dino Safari,” Laura nodded her head.

“James has a lot of siblings,” Marinette commented, seeing that five of the kids looked related to James while the other six included Starfire and other characters such as Raven, a young Bulma, a young princess Jasmine, a Yoko Littner and a young Sam Redfield.

“Those are only his full siblings and their first characters,” Kate said, startling much of the crowd.

“He has five full blooded siblings and you are saying he has more?” Asked Blake Belladonna disbelievingly.

“Yeah, Mister Gardner has thirty-six children in total,” Kate explained, causing all of those not in the know to drop their jaws. “James is the youngest with his twin Jamie being twenty minutes older.”

“His house must've been chaos growing up,” Erza said thinking of the insanity that must’ve been the Gardner family home.

“The servants and the mistresses kept order most of the time,” Kate explained before facing Starfire. “Can we go back to the Jurassic World story? It was way before I was bought.”

“James, his siblings, Daisy, and our friends went on the Jurassic World adventure excursion on a vacation world while his dad took his eldest six children on the Lost World adventure on another vacation world. The other siblings were in groups of six on a vacation world for each film,” Starfire continued to explain. “We were to have fun playing with the dinosaurs but then friend Jamie looked for the trouble and it found us.”

“First the raptors get loose and now this fucking thing is running around,” Owen Grady complains as he drove the jeep through the thick jungle. He was soaked in gasoline which had hidden him from the Indominus Rex. “Please tell me, we’re already getting people to the shelters.”

“We are telling guests to shelter in place for now,” Claire responded as she looked at the monitor. “Your guys already have most of the raptors that escaped, the only ones still missing are half the ones from Hunter Pavilion.”

“Those are the most aggressive ones,” Owen states as he drives between trees, following the trail. “The guys should be able to track them; aren’t their trackers working?!”

“I don’t know! The guys we sent to grab them stopped checking in!” Claire yelled frustrated. “Maybe if you were able to train them–LOOK OUT!” Claire shrieked as the large form of the Indominus Rex came barrelling around the corner of the now paved road in front of them. Owen slammed on brakes as the genetically modified monster stopped in the middle of the road and stared at them.

Owen and Claire stared back in horror at the beast with blood dripping down his mouth, covered in bleeding marks all along its body. It was covered with strange burns and chips along its claws and scales; it also had strange patches of scales that appeared to be like bruises. The Indominus Rex stared for a few seconds before charging at them.

“Holy shit!” Owen shouted as he put the jeep in reverse and tried to flee.

“Reverse! Reverse!” Claire shouted with the Indominus Rex getting closer.

“I’m trying!” Owen shouted back in a panic as the Indominus Rex reached them…and ran past them. Owen braked in confusion as he and Claire looked behind them as the Indominus Rex laid behind the jeep and shook.

“Is…is it shaking in fear,” Owen gaped at the sight of the monster that shook off gunfire and ate several teams hiding in fear.

“I–I think it is,” Claire said in shock and confusion. They were about to call for a retrieval team when they heard something from where the Indominus Rex came from. Shouting, whooping, and hissing came a pack of one and a half dozen velociraptors with teens riding them. The youngest of the teens appeared to be maybe 11 or 12. Many of the teens were carrying bats, scrap metal, and sharpened sticks.

The twins at the head of the pack were the youngest who were surprisingly both carrying a long stemmed sunflower. And immediately behind them were two girls, one tan to nearly orange and the other very pale to nearly gray. Claire, still in shock, idly noted that among those riding the raptors were the kids from the Camp Cretaceous pre-launch.

The pack stopped a few meters from the Jeep and the kids stared at the frozen adults. After a minute of staring at each other, one of the twins dismounted their raptor and patted its side. “I’m guessing we’re in trouble?” The kid laughed sheepishly before bowing his head.

“They were very grateful we got the Indominus Rex tamed though they could not figure out how the others and I made him so scared of us,” Starfire explained. “Daisy was able to liberate us from the park jail for doing the borrowing of the velociraptors. It was a very fun first adventure with James and his siblings.”

“That was the first vacation you were around with them?” Aelita asked.

“Yes, I was with them for around three months but we are already the bestest of friends,” Starfire said cheerfully. She turned wistful for a moment. “I hope Mustard is okay.”

“Mustard?” Hinata asked, confused.

“My raptor mount, she was so playful and happy last I saw her,” Starfire explained. “We begged to keep our mounts but both the Jurassic World staff and the adventure excursion organizers did not allow us to take them.”

“Maybe once James is back we can go visit while on an adventure,” Aelita said. “After the wedding and the babies of course.” The room gained an awkward atmosphere as people looked away from Aelita's expression. Thankfully it was broken by Shampoo grabbing one photo and shoving it in Starfire’s hands.

“Tell us what airen doing with pajama girl,” she asked. Starfire gave the photo a look and smiled.
