Chapter 5 by Forcy Forcy

Which fictional character from across the multiverse is chosen?

Raj picks Storm from the original X-men Movies. But she is not the only one chosen

"Well, if you insist, then I pick Storm from the X-men franchise," Raj ended up saying. "Just make sure it's like, Storm as portrayed by Halle Berry in the X-men trilogy of movies and not from the comic books. I just love that woman's bone structure and I don't think it will look the same in 2D anyway."

Howard gave him an exasperated look. "You just had to make it extra weird, eh? Whatever. Sheldon, if you want me to believe you then bring forth Black Widow from the new Marvel Cinematic Universe."

Bernadette rolled her eyes. "Why am I not surprised you picked Scarlett Johansson for this crazy scenario?"

"For the last time, she made Iron Man 2 bearable for me, okay," He argued, his tone defensive.

Sheldon just nodded at them in acknowledgement, before turning his head. "Leonard, who do you pick?"

"Come on buddy, this is insane, even for you," Leonard remarked. "And I am starting to get worried so, I can't believe I am going to say this, but do you want me to call my mother so that she can provide you some psychological counseling?"

Sheldon looked like he was considering it for a moment but ended up shaking his head.

"Nah, I respect Beverly too much to ruin atheism for her right now," He said sagely. "I will think of something later to break it into her more gently, but for now, just give me a name so we can get on with this."

"Argh, fine, if it gets you to see reason," Leonard scoffed. "I pick the titular character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer as portrayed by Sarah Michelle Gellar."

"Okay then," Sheldon said, then paused. "Wait, do I snatch Buffy from after the Series Finale or from before?"

Leonard frowned with impatient confusion.

"Does it matter?"

Sheldon stared at him like he was a dumb kid. "Of course, it matter! What a stupid question. The way my new powers work, I can affect time as well as space if I phrase my commands properly," He explained, giving him a look at the that suggested he was annoyed at his roommate for not having figured that out already. "What if I bring Buffy Summers here from a critical moment in her timeline and her short but still significant absence changes important things? Angry as I am at this development, I am still aware that with great power comes great responsibility, Leonard, and I am frankly shocked that you seem so casual about matters of such importance."

His roommate raised his hands in defeat. "Fine, then right after Season 7."

"How could you be so short-sighted?" He admonished, shaking his head with disappointment. "I am now a cosmic entity that can transcend universes Leonard, but I now know this can only mean that I am not the only one. If I bring Buffy here right after Season 7 then the First Evil is probably going to take notice, recently destroyed Hellmouth or not. I can't risk bringing the concentrated attention of that primordial horror to our world. Like, seriously, Priya, what do you see in him?"

The Indian lawyer, who Amy once described as a woman with the sheer sexuality of a crouched Bengal Tiger, gave Sheldon a look so blank she seemed overwhelmed. Instead of waiting for a reply though, he bit his bottom lip, considering.

"Oh, okay, I know exactly when and where to snatch her from," Sheldon said with a look of dawning realization. "Final minutes of the Season 5 Finale, here we go."

And with that, Sheldon closed his eyes. The others frowned, wondering when he was going to drop the crazy charade.

But then every single last one of them froze in shock when they saw a luminous vortex show up out of nowhere in the middle of the living room.

Howard and Raj where the first to find their voices and expressed what they must have all been feeling at the moment.

And then, just like that, women started stepping out of the portal, making them even more stunned.

The Omega-level mutant looked around in surprise, clearly disoriented.

"Where on earth...?"

She trailed off when heard noise from behind her and got out of the way just in time to avoid colliding with a gorgeous redhead clad in black leather, who seemed unused to being taken off balance and tripping in the process. Then she raised her head to look at them.

"What the...did Fury got that strange tesseract working or something?" She blinked, looking around in utter confusion.

"Hmph, so that's where the next big McGuffin is going to come from," Sheldon commented with a thoughtful look. "Interesting. But I am afraid you are not here because of the Space Stone, Natasha Romanoff. If only we were so lucky."

She looked just about ready to demand explanations from him when suddenly, Storm's eyes widened and she told her to get out of the way of the strange portal. The S.H.I.E.L.D agent that was probably picked for the original Avengers Initiative did just that and they turned to the beaming gateway, noticing that this time they could see a bit from the other side.

And what they saw was a blonde and athletic woman bravely jumping with a purpose.

She ended up being spat out of the portal with more speed and so landed on the couch.

"Ugh," She groaned as she shook her head. "What just happened?!"

Leonard was way too stunned speechless to answer his chosen pick's question from his side of the couch, so Sheldon took over. "Before I explain, allow me to say that it is a great honor to meet you, Buffy the Vampire Slayer," Sheldon said evenly. "But I am afraid that even though you just defeated a Hell God and risked your life to avert an interdimensional disaster of trans-apocalyptic proportions, you hadn't earned the right to sit on my spot."

She looked at him as if her face had just become the physical embodiment of bewilderment before the portal closed and Sheldon turned to look at his friends, who were bordering on drooling in shock right then and there.

"I know," The new god said, his tone full of empathy for once. "Sucks you have to believe me on this one, right?"

A/N: Well, this sounds like compelling evidence for his arguments, wouldn't you say? XD

If there is anything, in particular, you would like me to do with Storm, Black Widow, and Buffy before sending them back from whence they came, feel free to let me know and I will see what I can do.

Anyway, I hope you liked it and if so, please review!
