Raiding Goodsprings

Madeline and her crew had made it back to the Powder Ganger's base yet again. Even as Madeline was just getting back into the safety of the prison walls there seemed to be a mood of action. Buzzing and happenings were evident. People chatted more as if some big news had occurred.

Madeline, even tired from the journey, wanted to find out what was happening.

"What's going on?" Madeline asked a random Powder Ganger who was moving through the compound.

"You didn't hear?" he said before continuing "One of our crews got hit pretty hard near Goodsprings. Word has it we are gonna try and take out Goodsprings." he grinned like a wolf savoring a field of sheep.

After taking care of some of the logistics of her crew she was summoned to see Eddie. She was glad it wasn't one of "those" summons this time.

There were a number of people inside the main building gathered around Eddie. Madeline noticed that it was mostly the other crew leaders and important personnel.

"Alright listen up." Eddie said trying to get the rowdy Gangers' attention "Shut it!"

Silence descended on the group as they looked at their leader.

"You guys might have heard. We got a blackeye trying to hit one of those fucking Crimson Caravan crews. Its right outside Goodsprings. We are pretty sure they are taking care of some of the survivors of the Caravan. In any case we want Goodsprings. Its a prime target."

"Hell yeah." a voice belted in excitement. A few other voices joined in similar ascent.

"Bout time we got those fuckers."

"NCR will be crying to mommy after we are done with the place."

"Thats right." Eddie said gathering the outlaws' attention once more "The NCR is too busy dealing with the Legion to care about Goodsprings at all. But its gonna take a bunch of our crews working together to pull it off. No solo shit. We gotta focus our forces. Goodsprings is the biggest target we have tried. But we can take em."

A series of voices raised concerns, others asked questions, and the war council eventually dissolved into a bickering mess as the gang crews began to argue about the best way to take Goodsprings.

"Now that we have argued like old women--Anyone got some actual good suggestions?" Eddie asked.

"We should just roll in there, we can handle any thing they got." one crew leader suggested.

"Why even bother with them? We can just raid around them. Hit the outskirts. Milk it." another said, a flurry of scorn followed this idea and the crew leader shirked away from the group.

"NCR might take notice if we go in too strong." another added.

Madeline considered what should be done.

A probing raid might reveal weaknesses of the Goodsprings residents. And get first dibs on the best of the loot too.

She could Volunteer to go undercover to find more information.

Though scouting from a distance might be safer.
