Rage Reflex

Your anger ratchets up to levels you haven’t felt since Yoruichi’s apparent ‘betrayal,’ your rage manifesting in an aura of reiatsu so condensed and concentrated that the air around your body begins to waver, light itself bending in the face of your indescribable power. This of course has the adverse effect on your quest for information, the trio before you as well as the women you know trembling and tongue tied from the weight of your fury. Your patience runs on a razors edge as you look down at a now trembling Rukia, your anger leaking into your tone as you speak, “Kuchiki-san, I asked a question and as your superior I want an answer!”

“Y-Yes Genryusai-Taicho!” Rukia yelps, her body quickly gulping down whatever fear she can before she squeaks out, “W-W-We h-have recently s-seen an increase of e-evil h-hollow activity and s-since we need t-to become stronger w-w-we enlisted Urahara-chan f-f-for assistance!”

Growling from deep in his throat you turn to the other women in the group, the once gushing Orihime and the previously awestruck Ishida looking up at you with now eyes filled with fear from your power, “Is this true?”

Ishida quickly nods, her head bowing as her body follows, “Y-Yes John-s-sama! H-However…i-if I had known about U-Urahara’s betrayal I-I-I never would have gone!”

“S-Same for me,” the orange haired angel nervously mutters, her head bowed as she idly and frightfully toes the ground, “I-I am s-s-sorry Genryusai-k-…er san.”

Taking a slow and deep breath you try to calm yourself the best you can, your breath coming from your nose in a harsh series of hisses as you wrangle back your power and rage at the mention of the bastard…er, bitches name. As your reiatsu gradually vanishes back into your body you hear a loud collection of gasps and deep breaths come from all around you, the pressure of your spiritual energy unconsciously weighting down upon everyone and restricting their ability to take even the smallest breath.

Yet, despite the worried looks you receive from Arrancar, Witch, Meister, Weapon, Shinigami, and Human alike you quickly discount them all, turning to Rukia with a serious gaze as you speak your next words, “So please, explain to me WHY you went to a traitor for help in the first place Kuchiki-san.”

“W-Well,” Rukia nervously mutters, her head downcast as the nervously pokes one finger into another, “I-I-It is really something…y-you should see f-for yourself Genryusai-Taicho…”

“Then take me to Urahara,” You say with a voice full of authority and command, your position as Taicho and Deadman Shinigami never as obvious or clear as it is right now, “I have a few things to discuss with…her.”
