The girls and I were inseparable; we went to the movies, went shopping, and had all kinds of parties. The five of them were the sisters I'd never had, just as I was to them, and I thought it would be forever.

If I could pinpoint the exact beginning of it all, it would be Mike's accident. My annoying brother was experimenting in chemistry class and made some substances explode.

He was **** for a few days, fortunately for him and a relief for my mother, and he was able to recover. The doctors examined him thoroughly and found no significant after-effects, except for one thing.

His eyes, which were naturally dark brown, had transformed into a blue as bright and beautiful as the sea. Although the doctors had no explanation for the change, Mike's vision was not affected.

His sparkling blue eyes became my brother's defining characteristic; everyone from my mother to my friends marveled at them and praised him.

But his new eyes always bothered me. I didn't know how to explain it. On the one hand, I saw them as beautiful, and on the other hand, they gave me a bad feeling. I think it was around then that I started feeling that itch on my neck that I can't identify to this day.

A week after the accident, he was discharged. Of course, he'd missed a few classes, so my mother asked Alicia to fill him in.

Alicia had no particular interest in my brother; their interactions didn't go beyond "hello" and "goodbye," and she had her reasons.

She saw Mike as a weirdo who wasted his time on his strange interests. On the other hand, she'd always been one of the most popular and intelligent girls at the university, standing out for her perfect 90-60-90 figure. Anyway, if it weren't for my brother, Alicia wouldn't even be aware of his existence.

At first, my friend refused to help with his studies, but my mom insisted that my brother not fall so far behind, so I finally agreed. For a few days, Alicia came over to our house and caught him up on various subjects. Although she shared her displeasure with being around Mike, I noticed that with each passing day, she was getting along better with my brother.

Then, one Monday night, when my mom was out of the house, Alicia was here for what would be our last lesson while I watched TV. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see them working without any problems. Oddly enough, my friend seemed more enthusiastic than usual. I got thirsty, so I went to the kitchen for a glass of water.

I think I left them alone for about 20 minutes because I wasted some time scrolling through social media on my phone. When I came back, I was shocked by what I saw.

Alicia and Mike were kissing, and it wasn't just a simple kiss. They were doing it with such frenzy that their heads were swaying from side to side. I watched as Alicia, with her back to me, surrendered unabashedly to my brother's caresses, as he was already inserting his hands inside her blouse.

For a few seconds, I was disconnected, finding no response or reaction to what my eyes were seeing, trying to believe I was in a bizarre dream. But as they exchanged those fluids, I realized more and more that this was real.

What was I about to do? My brother recently got out of the hospital; his life was in danger. I think he deserves some happiness, right? Besides, it's normal for young people to be very curious about sex, and Alicia is quite attractive, so it wouldn't be good for me to ruin their moment.

I didn't quite know where those thoughts came from, but they quickly engaged in a struggle with my indignation and anger. Should I leave them or not? Is what they were doing wrong? Is it normal for Alicia to be with Mike?

I stayed like that for a few seconds until I finally turned around and walked away without making a sound. As I walked away, I had a strong feeling that I shouldn't do this, which disappeared in the blink of an eye. In my room, I could clearly hear how the encounter between Mike and Alicia escalated, moving to the first baseman's room and going from second to fourth base in record time.

She complained as she stood there, playing with her hair while laughing.

"A wild thing? That was absolutely crazy, maybe you've lost your mind? He's my little brother!" I raised my voice.

"Oh my God, Rachel, you're overreacting. What happened was totally normal... Two young guys with raging hormones; the outcome is quite natural. Besides, you're completely wrong about Mike still being your little brother," Alicia said jokingly.

Her smile became even more lax, and she raised an eyebrow, something I'd seen in her before when she reminisced about their sexual adventures, only this time it was more noticeable.

“What are you talking about, Alicia?” she asked, confused.

"Obviously, you haven't seen his… well, you know. He's bigger than any guy I've been with, and when he… well, you know… he wreaked havoc on me."

Honestly, that surprised me even more. I hadn't seen Mike naked since we were kids, so they had no idea how big he was.

Apparently, my comment put Alicia on the defensive, as she became even more upset.

He's of legal age.” Alicia opened the door and, before closing it, she turned to me. “Finally, if your mother finds out, I'll tell her the same thing I told you. After all, I think Mike and I will be closer after today”

When she closed the door, I was left with more questions than at the beginning. No matter what she said, her new relationship with Mike seemed like it came out of nowhere. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of the longest week of my life... and the beginning of my brother's new life!
