With a primal yell dozens of figures popped out of cover around the building, hurling spears and stones at the two women. Thinking quickly, Druuna grabbed Janette by the hand and led her deeper into the complex, hoping to find a place to lose the unknown assailants in the maze of buildings.
After many minutes of dodging spears and slings Druuna and Janette reached an unlocked building. It was a massive, multi-storied building with a single large door standing open. Druuna quickly pushed Janette into the building and jumped in after her. With a hard shove the women slid the door shut.
"That doors solid metal, they wont be able to get through." Janette said
"Good, that means we can finally get to work. This place is by far the biggest structure here, we should be able to get what we need." Druuna replied, reassuringly
"But what about those people out there? I doubt they'll just let us walk out!" Janette replied with exasperation.
"We'll cross that bridge when we get there. For now we're safe in here and we've got a lot of ground to cover. At least fifteen levels, most of them underground. It'll be much quicker if we split up and each search separately. We'll meet back here tonight, okay?" Druuna replied
"Understood, see you soon."
