RDs Masquerade Gala!

Ethan was in his room, in his suit, he had to thank Coco for her amazing skill.

Closing his eyes, he brushed his hair back and took the mask, he placed it on his face and looked in the mirror.

"Looking good sir." Cortana appeared behind him.

Ethan smiled and turned. "Thank you dear." He nodded at her.

Cortana walked up to him and brushed his shoulder a bit. She leaned in and kissed him softly.

Ethan hummed in surprise, her lips tasted sweet. He pulled away. "Wow, what brought this up?" He smirked.

"Just wanted to." Cortana smiled and pulled away. "A limo will arrive to pick you up sir."

Ethan nodded and left his room.

Making his way to the foyer, he waited for Ai to come down.

The elevator doors opened and Ai stepped out.

Ethan looked but he was rendered speechless as he saw her.

Her dress was the same colour as the night sky, stars seemingly twinkled all over, like the dress was made from a cloudless night sky with the stars shining, the dress nearly touched the floor, Ai's smile was wide and she looked beautiful.

"... Your jaw is down." Ethan blinked and saw Ruby, Aoi and Coco standing behind Ai with wide smirks on their faces.

"I... Wow Ai... You're beautiful." Ethan reached over and cupped her cheek. Ai closed her eyes and leaned into his touch.

"Thank you sweetheart." Ai muttered, her heart fluttering from the compliment.

"Honestly, hardest project I ever did, but this material you found for me is great." Coco waved her hand over the dress with a proud smile on her face.

"Thank you Coco, I appreciate it." Ethan smiled.

Ruby watched a bit envious and wished she could go with her mother but Ethan said that this was only one character per guest.

"The limo is here sir." Cortana informed Ethan.

Ethan looked at Ai. "Shall we Ms. Hoshino?" Ethan offered his arm, Ai wrapped her own arm around it.

"Of course Mr. Kenway." She smiled and the two bid their farewells and left the mansion, a white limo was waiting for them.

They went inside and they were off.

Ethan noticed that the driver was a NS5 from the movie I, Robot.

"Oh they have drinks." Ai took out a small bottle of champagne.

"I believe that we should save the **** for later in the evening." Ethan took it and put it back.

Ai pouted but it turned to a smile as she rubbed his chest. "You look handsome tonight." She complimented.

"You look stunning." Ethan returned and kissed her lips.

Ai returned it with a small hum of satisfaction, she felt happy, having a man to love her like this and now going to a party with him as his date.

Ethan pulled away. "While we're there, call me Thane." Ethan told her.

Ai snorted.

"Hey! Come on its clever." Ethan pouted as he leaned back, one of his eyes turned blood red. "There, a better little disguise don't you think?" Ethan smirked.

"It is my dear." She giggled and took one of the water bottles and took a sip. "Where are we going?"

"To the Dreaming Hall, RealDreams Private venue, it's for parties that they host." Ethan explained. "I've never been there but I'm told it's spectacular." Ethan told her.

"Oh I can't wait." Ai smiled.

They finally arrived at the building.

The building is an older looking large building built somewhat in the style of the ancient Greeks. A fence encloses a garden in the background. The building is white gray and the entrance door is made of dark wood.

Ai saw multiple limos coming in behind them, Ai felt giddy she fixed her hair as they stopped

The door opened for them and the two stepped out, Ethan thanked the NS5 robot.

Ai saw multiple Prime Worlders with characters, how did she know? The prime Worlders had masks on, some didn't though. Some were staring at her and she stood straighter as Ethan guided her to the door.

"Welcome to the RealDreams Masquerade Gala, may I please have your invitation." The one greeting them was Liara from Mass effect.

Ethan didn't know much besides that. She was looking down at a tablet in her hand.

Ethan took his phone out and showed the information as well as a barcode.

The character scanned it and looked at the tablet before nodding. "Name?" She asked.

"Thane with Ai Hoshino." Ethan said.

Liara nodded and gave them both wristbands. "For Security reasons, you two must wear these bands." Ethan took them both and gave Ai hers.

She placed it on her wrist and they went inside.

Ai gasped as they entered.

The inside is a large extravagant ballroom with the stage in the end of the room with a bar on one side and a long table with a wide selection of different food in the other side, there were tables with chairs in the corners, while the ceiling looked to be enchanted to look like the night sky.

"Wow..." Ai muttered in wonder as they walked inside.

"Yeah." Ethan smiled at her as they walked into the crowd.

Ai held onto Ethan's arm, making sure to not get separated from him.

She spotted a bald head and blinked. "Who's that?" She nudged his arm.

Ethan turned and frowned. "A woman with Lex Luthor from DC... I don't know which variant that is but I can't understand people's taste at times." Ethan said.

"Oh ... Is he that bad?" Ai asked.

"Depends on which version that was." Ethan shook his head. "He's normally bad."

They stopped as a holographic RealDreams logo appeared over everyone's heads. "Welcome to the RealDreams Masquerade Gala. We thank you for your attendance and patronage." A female robotic voice spoke from the speakers. Ethan recognised the voice, Glados from the game Portal! "Rest assured that you are safe from WAR and WARM, please, relax and have a good time." The hologram vanished the people went right back to mingling.

"What's WARM?" Ai asked frowning.

"... Women against RealDreams Militant." Ethan responded as he wrapped an arm around her waist. "I think you can understand why they're called that."

Ai understood, she could understand that women weren't really happy that characters, mostly females were sexualised and enslaved.

Ai looked around, trying to distract herself, she saw a band of aliens playing a tune she was familiar with. "Who are they?" She asked.

Ethan looked at the stage and smiled, he took her closer. "Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes." Ethan told her. She bopped her head to the tune, it was so catchy.

They made their way to the free food and Ai took a look at what they had to offer.

"One of the reasons I decided to come." Ethan snickered as he took a plate and filled it with drumsticks and sushi rolls.

"Why's that?" Ai asked as she took her own plate and took some tempura.

"Free food." Ethan smirked as they walked to a table and sat down.

"Oh who's that?" Ai asked looking at a certain direction.

Ethan looked over and blinked. "Oh that ... No fucking way." Ethan's face curled into a smirk. "She had one of him?"

Ai was confused. "What?"

"That's Valerie Morgan, she's a family friend, mom's side, she's the owner of a 5 star hotel in Earth's orbit called Eclipse Serenity." Ethan smirked. "She's also a very big fem Dom." Ethan whispered. "But she always kept her collection of characters hidden, her character date is Zhongli, Aka Morax, the lord of earth in his world. She thought she could hide from me." Ethan took his phone and took a picture. "Salvatore owes me 50 bucks, he bet that she was more of a cute feminine boys type but she's probably secretly a sub... Or maybe she likes domming him."

Ai blinked. Was this how rich people had fun? "Won't this make her upset?"

"Nah, Valerie's chill, she'll just try and deny it." Ethan chuckled and put his phone away.

"Drinks?" A small imp from Hell came up to them with a tray of glasses.

Ai took two and placed them on the table before patting the imp on the head. It got a blush from the imp who walked off.

"... What they're cute." Ai defended herself as Ethan gave her a small smirk.

"Hey are these seats taken?" Someone asked.
