Quite typically for them.

"There's the lake house," Kazuma said, pointing as he and the party arrived, Cremea and Darkness carrying the cage. The bars were still a bit warped, but both girls had bent them back into place well enough. "Let's move down the shore so Megumin's Explosion doesn't hit it."

"Aw, I'd love to blow it up too, catch it in the crossfire," Megumin pouted.

"That would come out of our quest reward, assuming we even got it if you did that," Kazuma deadpanned. "Destroying the lake house would defeat the purpose of making it available to the client again..."

Despite Megumin continuing to pout, he wouldn't budge on the issue, and they moved a safe distance away along the shore. "Good, now set the cage down," Kazuma grinned as Cremea and Darkness waded out, and they obliged. Darkness was of course giddy.

"Thanks for letting me do this Kazuma, you have no idea how jealous I was when Aqua did it!" she saluted. "I really wish I could have swapped with her!"

"You and me both," Aqua rolled her eyes.

"Just get in the cage already!" Cremea rolled her eyes, practically shoving an unresisting Darkness in. The plan was right out of their playbook, with the adjustment of the cage. Darkness would be bait, Megumin would wipe out/weaken most of their opponents with Explosion, Aqua would support and heal Darkness if need be, and Kazuma, Cremea, and Fio would finish the enemy off. The cage was added because it had worked fairly well the last time they went up against the alligators, plus Darkness really wanted to play Aqua's role from last time. Not to mention the extra layer of protection would ensure they had more time to lure more alligators in.

"Now just splash about and make some noise, while we wait for them to come in large enough numbers to have Megumin make with the Explosion!" Aqua called out to Darkness, even as they moved a safer distance away. Darkness of course eagerly obliged.

"And now we wait," Kazuma grinned.
