What's next?
Quick dorm hello
Vi walks through the hallway of her dorm building, a long, long day, saved a little bit by seeing the lovely Erik, after those gruelling classes, she feels exhausted regardless. She steps into the elevator and leans on the small metal bar that is installed on the wall of the elevator. She’s so looking forward to turning her brain off for an hour or so, watch some trashy dating reality show, and just, not be standing up anymore.
The elevator door starts to close but it’s stopped by an olive skinned arm, as it opens again, there stands Azad.
God damnit.
“Vi! Hey, you!”
She shifts back into the single Vi character, standing straight — she smiles, “Azad. Lucky me. Joining me in the enclosed space?”
Azad grins, stepping in and leaning on the railing next to her, giving her a long look up and down her body, “Looking good. I think I’m the lucky one.”
Vi just giggles, praying for this elevator ride to be over, she wasn’t mentally prepared for this.
Azad reaches out and touches her shoulder gently, “It seems the universe keeps pushing us together.”
“That’s a very positive way to see this,” Vi teases, “you don’t think this is just a coincidence?” Vi touches his chest, “since we live in the same building?”
Azad shrugs, “Nah. No shot.” He grins at her, he does have a very charming smile, she notes.
The elevator dings for Vi’s floor, “I’ll see you around, Azad, after your game was it?”
“Yeah. Rock leaf bar. The Local, I’m excited for the date.”
Vi shivers and she turns and holds the elevator door, “not a date.” She corrects, “don’t catch feelings now. This is casual, okay?”
Azad sucks at his cheek but he grins all the same, “Of course. Hook up date.”
Vi crinkles her nose and lets go, Azad chuckles as the elevator door closes.
