Quick Introductions and On to the Next Room

Chapter 11 by dracone

Evan and Glarka blinked in surprise at the slime woman, and the trail of acid burns in stones of the floor as she moved around, trying to process the implications of what this was. The figure that introduced herself as Jillian awkwardly slurped her way over to the two of them and stopped roughly 7 feet from the still very naked pair. She blinked a bit, unsure of what to do next, she appeared to be unfamiliar with her body by the way she had moved as was moving.

Cautiously, Evan said, "What were you before you found yourself in your current state?"

"Rabbitfolk," said Jillian, "this body moves so much different than I'm used to, it will probably take me a while to get used to it all."

"This dungeon is a bit odd," said Evan as he started putting his attire back on, and motioned for Glarka to check her inventory for a temporary replacement for her lost outfit. "Maybe we'll get lucky and find something to restore you to your original state, or at least give you a form similar to the original."

"Yeah, that sounds like a plan," said Jillian.

"Oh, and I'm Evan," said Evan, "the very pretty orc over there is Glarka." Glarka stopped mid-rummage and actually blushed in a mix of pride and embarrassment, she was not used to having such compliments about her appearance, she usually got those sorts of compliments in regards to her combat skills. After a few extra minutes of searching her bag, Glarka finally managed to find the traveling outfit she had gotten from the chest in a prior room. When he caught glimpses of Glarka going through everything, he very much enjoyed the view. It took Glarka a moment to get the outfit on, it actually was a little loose around the parts that had been a bit tight with her prior attire but only just enough to actually let her breathe and move with minimal hindrance.

"There are some rabbit tribes out in the desert that the orc tribes I'm familiar call home," said Glarka as she joined the conversation, turning her attention to Jillian, "are you from one of those tribes?"

"No, my warren calls a forested area home."

"Alright, ladies," said Evan, "let's see what the next room has to offer, maybe we'll find something to protect Jillian's modesty."

The three of them headed through the door, what greeted them on the other side was yet another surprise. The room beyond the door was a bit tame, compared to what they just went through, it was a room 60 feet across, 45 feet wide, and had a 50-foot ceiling. The room itself looked pretty normal, as far as dungeons usually tend to go, until you realized the tiles that made up the floor and walls seemed to be a set of giant slider puzzles that likely had to all line up together properly. The door at the other end was closed, as per usual for this place, but this time looked like a set of double doors made of some kind of metal that continued alternating the kind of metallic appearance it possessed every few seconds, the kind of metal the appearance came out as seemed to be pretty random as well.

"Well," said Evan, "this might take some time."

"Given how we had to open the last door," said Glarka, "I think I have a few ideas of what the images of the completed puzzles should look like. But you are right, this will take some time."
