Questions
You wake up with a gasp, your body spasms before you pat yourself down.
You look around, honestly surprised you were still in the hangar. You look up to a very concerned Amanda.
She stumbles on her words as she asks if you were okay and if you need help.
You stand yourself up and place one of your hands on Amanda's shoulder. You tell her that you didn't get any sleep in a long time and that you were going back to sleep.
She places her hands on her hips. "You're sure?" She asks with a cock of her head and hips.
"I'll be fine." You begin to walk back to your ship.
When you entered your ship you instantly sought out Lilly.
You searched pretty much the whole ship even asking Flora where Lilly was, but couldn't find her.
Eventually you walked past Failsafe, who was not inside your room like normal.
"John!" Failsafe calls to you. "Lilly kicked me out of your room!"
"Why?"
"Apparently I was interfering with something... I think she's masturbating."
You pat Failsafe and open the door to your room.
Lilly jumps from the bed appearing as little more than a blur, your face hit with a few warm drops of liquid. She now stands draped in your blankets.
"I thought you left!" She shouts.
"I did." You sit on your now coverless bed. "Something strange happened."
She sits next to you. "What do you mean?"
You explain the entire situation and ask if she knows anything about the 'Cerberus' girls you saw.
She shrugs. "If anyone would know it would be Eris... Maybe The Drifter."
"Eris?"
"You haven't met her yet? Man, I thought Athena introduced you to everyone."
You shrug. "I guess I'll just ask The Drifter." You stand and are suddenly hit with a wave of fatigue and drop back onto your bed. "I'll take a nap first though."
"You just got up!" Lilly slugs your arm.
"You didn't have three shadow realm chicks fuse into your body!" You throw your arms up as you lay on your back. "Now could you give me my blankets please?"
"Sure thing." She lays next to you and plays with the blankets until they cover you. "I guess I'll stay with you." She squeezes herself close to you. "I've got nothing else to do anyway."
You strained your brain over the events of what little of today has passed and eventually go to sleep.
Your eyelids slowly part as a warm and wet sensation covers your fingers. Shifting your eyes you catch Lilly masturbating with your fingers, you did interrupt her earlier. You fake your sleep and let her finish.
You get up shortly after and subtly tease her about it as you leave.
You seek out The Drifter who, when you find him, is playing around with his bank.
He notices you enter and turns to face you. "How's it going, Brother?"
You tell him about what happened and ask if he knows anything about it.
He leans back against his bank, his arms dropping to his sides as he looks up and groans. "Nope!" He chuckles softly. "Sounds like a dream to me. You sure you're okay?" He starts laughing.
"Lilly mentioned an Eris. Do you know her?" You ask.
The Drifter chuckles. "Good ol' Moondust? Yeah, I know her." He stands up straight again. "If she doesn't know then it was a dream." He points at you. "I'll send you her location and setup comms with you and her while you're on your way." He waves as if to tell you to go. "Good luck, brother!"
You return to your ship and prepare to leave for the moon.
"What do you want, rat?" A females voice says breaking the static in your ear, she sounded calm yet distressed at the same time.
"I've got a buddy heading over to you right now." The Drifter states.
"You never answered the question..."
"Dammit Three Eyes I just want to help my friend get some answers to his questions!" He sounds much more irritated than he should have been. "He's been through something and you are the only one who knows what could've happened." He sounds calm again.
"I see. Is this 'friend' a guardian?"
"Nope! One special guy though."
She makes a sound as if to ask how.
"I'm sure you'll find out."
"Of course I will." She sighs. "When will he arrive?"
"No idea."
Not too long after departing you arrive.
"Looks like he's there, Moondust."
The ramp lowers and you step out and look around. The location seemed much less established than you expected, less safe too.
"Are you the one that the rat speaks of?" A pale hooded woman asks.
She wears a blindfold and baggy clothes thay are covered with some form of armor. From under her blindfold three glowing eyes are visible and a black liquid-like substance flows down her face. In one of her hands is an object imprisoned in an orb of what appears to be green fire.
The two of you introduce yourself.
"I was told you had questions that only I could answer..."
You nod before explaining your situation.
"Cerberus?"She seemed lost in thought for a second. "I'm not sure. Especially not with your description." She shakes her head. "Tell me again what they said to you."
You quote them to the extent of your memory.
"It is possible that they are somehow related to The Nine..." She shakes her head again. "If that were the case than the rat would know. He is quite fascinated with The Nine after all." She looks around you. "You said that they 'fused into you', yes?"
You nod.
"Interesting." She says, shaking her head. "I apologize. I don't know anything about your encounter."
You thank Eris and turn for your ship.
As you enter your ship you hear a static in your ear.
"How would you describe what makes him special? Rat."
"The guy's got some crazy brain in his head. Some real skill too."
"That all may be true, but if the encounter he described is more than a dream-" She stops.
"What?"
"When we were talking." She takes a deep breath. "I could feel something following him, and despite my efforts I could not see it."
"Not even with those three eyes of yours?" The Drifter laughs.
"It didn't feel like the presence of any guardian or other lightbearer, nor did it feel like the energy from the pyramid."
"What are you saying?"
"This Cerberus he speaks of may be that presence. The Cerberus told him it was not of light or dark."
"Like The Nine." He almost growls.
"My thoughts exactly... Focus hard the next time he is around you. You may feel that presence."
"Then what?"
"Compare it to what you feel in that haul of yours."
"You really might be on to something here Moondust!"
"That friend of you truly is something special. For how long is the question."
Their conversation stops with some static. There was only silence for a moment before more static struck your ear.
"Hey, brother. You're good to talk now." The Drifter chuckles softly. "Not like you weren't before, but it sounds like it was a good thing you kept quiet... You hear all that?"
