Chapter 27

What's next?
Another normal day?
Your eyes crack open and take in the light. Your head aches as you sit up and look around to find that Lilly is still asleep.
You did your best to quietly leave, but as you exit Lilly asks what you are planning for today.
You respond honestly with a shrug before leaving.
The ramp lowers to allow the bright natural light to flood into your ship and your eyes. The aching in your head gets worse as you take a few steps out of your ship.
You hear Amanda greet you, but it seemed almost muffled.
Bringing a hand to your temple, attempting to ease the pain, you wave with your other arm.
Your legs start to feel shaky as you continue to approach the hangar's exit.
"Something wrong?" Amanda asks, clearly concerned as she sees you slowly lose your ability to walk.
You insist you are fine despite being totally unaware of the reason for your sudden motor failure. It didn't take much longer of this for you to decide to turn around and go back for bed, but as you turn the aching gets stronger.
You were only able to take about two steps toward your ship before you collapsed onto your knees. The aching now feels like a throbbing, or even a pounding.
You crumble and curl yourself up, tightly gripping your head. You were certain your thoughts weren't helping, but you couldn't help but try and come up with a reason why this was happening.
Amanda shouts for help and runs over to aid you.
You were only able to catch a glimpse of Amanda before losing consciousness.
You open your eyes and absorb your surroundings. As confused as you were you tried to keep your composure. You looked around to see that you were no longer in the tower, instead you were lying on a floating platform, one made of stone. Other floating rocks slowly drifted past your platform. The place seemed completely void of color, the space around you was black with dim white lights. The rocks that pass are gray and seem to faintly glow, lighting the black space around you.
You stand and take a few steps to look over the edge of the platform. As you look over and see the void beneath you, a rock collides with your platform. You fall backwards onto what remains of the platform. The debris from the platform drifts away and comes together to form another platform.
A bright wisp of light flies past you and darts around on the second platform before exploding, its light spreading before dissipating back into the darkness.
You cautiously step forward to the edge of the platform and prepare to jump. Right as you shift your weight a boulder flies between the platforms.
You take a step back and make sure your jump is clear before taking a running start and jumping across the gap. You tumble as you land on the next platform, a burst of light spreads into the darkness as you land.
The light stops and builds up before spreading in waves to reveal what appears to be a castle. A bridge extends to your platform.
You walk your way up the bridge and take in the massive scale of the castle. You walk up the stairs to see the gates of the castle. They begin to creak open as you step closer, light flooding from the inside, as it hits you color returns to your clothes.
Stepping inside of the castle you see elegant red carpet lining the long hallways decorated with gold and plants. Two grand sets of staircases rest directly in front of you, between the two staircases is another staircase from coming from below.
You hear footsteps coming from that direction. If you weren't mistaken there were three sets.
You take a step back, preparing to run from the castle. This preparation was quickly shut down by the sound of the gate closing behind you.
From the hallways to the left and right at the top of each respectable staircase, two women emerge, and from the bottom staircase another.
They all looked identical in every way except for the accessories they wore. They have white hair and red eyes. Looking down from their beautiful faces you could see that they had bodies any woman would kill for.
They were all dressed in an elegant dress that gripped at their bodies just enough to display their flawless figures. The one coming from the left staircase wears no special accessories. The one coming from the right staircase had a golden band in her hair. The one from the bottom staircase has a chain wrapped around her waist over her dress, a long end trails behind her and bounces softly off of her left leg as she walks.
"John Doe." The woman on the left says.
"A man with a past no one knows." The one on the right says.
"Not even himself." The one in the middle says.
"We are Cerberus." They all speak at once. "A soul forged from neither light or dark, bound to three bodies."
The woman on the left takes a step forward. "We have been keeping a close eye on you."
The woman on the right steps forward and caresses your jaw with her hand. "You put on quite an entertaining show."
The woman in the middle crosses her arms and stays where she is. "We have been searching for someone like you for a long time." She slowly steps forward as she speaks. "A person absent of the light and absent of the darkness... Despite all of the candidates you seem the most suitable." She cocks her head slightly. "But are you worthy of our gift?"
You attempt to ask one of the many questions you have, but your lips are covered by the right woman's finger
"You've shown weakness. Susceptibility." The three speak.
"Susceptibility to what?" You ask, knowing they want you to be silent.
The woman on your right removes her finger from you lips and eyes you.
They all look at you with an almost invisible hint of shock in their faces.
"I say we do it." The woman on the right says.
"I agree." The woman in the middle nods.
"Very well." The woman on the left folds her arms. "Do not let us down."
The three grab each others hands. "Do not fall." The all speak at once as the ones on the left and right grab your shoulders. "Do not let yourself be taken."
You feel an unimaginable burning in your shoulders. Looking over reveals that their hands are entering your body within a flash of light.
"Don't worry. You won't even know we are here." They say.
At this point your entire body is in the same pain. Each woman is slowly melting into your body.
It took everything you had not to scream out in pain. In fact it took more than everything you had, you were surprised you hadn't already passed out.
