You grab a cup of coffee from the kitchen and check the headlines. The headline news startles you. The Haunted House blew up. Authorities are blaming it on a gas leak.

You quickly call Keith. He picks up.

“Keith, are you ok?

“Yah, I’m fine. It’s a good thing you guys left right away. Still there were casualties. They’re already suing the natural gas company.” He sighs. “We’re probably next.”

“I’m just glad to hear you’re ok.”

You chat a bit more before heading to the shower. You focus on his comment about leaving right away. Had you left right away? Your memories of last night are very confused.

You dry off and dress before dialing up Christina.

“Hi, Christina.”

“Hi, Tanya, What’s up?”

“Did you hear the Haunted House blew up?”

“Yah, last night was weird. My memories are so jumbled.”

“You too?!”

“Yah, Danielle blew that dust at us...”

“Danielle! I remember now. We need to find out what really happened.”

“How about I meet you at the coffee shop and then we’ll go see her?”

“I’m in.”

Thirty minutes later you are enjoying a coffee when Christina arrives.
