“Hmmm…” said Doctor Naomi Okata as she studied the two specimens before her.

Normal male spiders in its vicinity would also eventually undergo a metamorphosis and turn into females.”

Naomi continued, “The Noa spiders we created always started out as males, but under very specific conditions, they can turn into females as well. If several male Noas are placed together, eventually, only the most dominant one will maintain its status as male while the others will turn female.”

“I-Is that w-what happened to m-me?” Peter asked.

Naomi looked thoughtful. “That seems like the most likely explanation. However, it’s truly odd. Even with Noa spiders, the sex-change process is gradual and slow. It takes several months. So either it works differently for humans, or….”

“Or?” Peter asked.

“Or you two have a dominance-submissive relationship that is so **** that it triggered a rapid metamorphosis, literally changing your sex in less than an hour.”

Erik burst out in laughter. “You got that right, doc! I’ve pegged Petey here as my bitch from day one.”

Naomi glanced at Erik, “And that’s just half of the equation. Mr. Stevens himself must possess an overwhelming sense of superiority complex, particularly towards you, Mr. Parker. His pheromones likely helped accelerate your transition immensely.”

“So how the hell do I turn back?” Peter asked.

“Well, you’ll have to change the dynamic between Mr. Stevens and yourself,” replied Naomi. “Stop feeling inferior to him. And it would also help if Mr. Stevens stops feeling superior to you.”
