Chapter 12
by LoversOfLewdness
What to do with the monk?
Put an end to it.
Without any hesitation, the lifeless body of the monk fell down to the floor. Loud cheers of the Norsemen around indicated that they liked how Tjorvi didn't even think about it and just took out their enemy. Without a weapon, the monk was nothing more than a nuisance. Just a large man, maybe he'd even make for a good ****. Maybe he was important and they could get quite some money out of him... But well, Tjorvi didn't think about any of this as he had just lashed out. Seconds later, his axe was bloodied for the very first time in his life. It felt weird, taking another human's life - but that was just how it was. Nothing to do about it.
Unlike their heroic comrade, the rest of the monks seemed to be gone. They must've fled into the woods. Perhaps they would just wait out the attack, or perhaps they would keep going until they stumbled onto some help. Either way, the monastery seemed small so there couldn't be too much of them. And there wasn't too much inside either other than some silver relics, some materials, and quite some wine in the cellar. Everything remotely useful was taken, but it wasn't much. Not enough to return to Norway, and Bjor didn't seem to mad about it. Why would they want to get lucky during their first raid, when there was so much more to explore in these lands? So much more to explore..

For Odin!
Sometimes, the Gods have decided on a very naughty fate.
It all started when the son of a Jarl married the daughter of another Jarl, putting their strength together to go raid in distant lands. During the feast, a young farmer goes out of their way to pledge their loyalty to this new alliance and becomes a living legend.
