Push on through the night

Hiding is a tempting option. Finding a place to curl up and sleep would be bliss. It would be the easy thing to do.

It would also be the wrong thing to do. The chances of getting caught are simply too high.

You've **** and you know it. You have to try and reach the other village.

The landscape is dark and dirty. Before you were born there was once a great city here. Buildings touched the sky. People travelled without moving. You could find anything you wanted. Not now. Now the once mighty buildings had been reduced to torn towers of brick, stone and metal. The rubble makes travelling very hard.

Scrambling up a huge pile of broken bricks and dangerously sharp metal leaves your fingers bruised and bleeding.

Look! Light.

From your new perch on top of the heap of grimy stones you can see further into the ruins than before. Its barely possible to make out the hulking shadows of the broken buildings ahead of you.

To the left, some distance ahead, there is the unmistable flicker of light. It looks like a small campfire that's been hidden. It's only because you're so high up that you can see the light.

Or... well. It could be a trap.
