Samus half dragged and half prodded Urbosa all the way to Hateno Village. There, she tied and gagged Urbosa, stuffing her in a cave, and went in to the ancient lab to meet Purah. Purah was diminutive, with mostly white hair and wore flowing robes that covered her figure. She was in the lab alone, her assistant gone on an expedition and not expected back for weeks.

“Purah.” Samus said, greeting her. “My name is Samus and I believe I have something that you’ll be very, very interested in.”

Purah, always the researcher, was immediately engaged. “What is it?” She asked.

“Oh, we have to come to a deal- Here’s what I have to offer- a new form of power, essentially unlimited. I can teach you how to harness it. In return, you must not question my methods and do one thing that I ask, no hesitations.” Samus responded.

Purah thought…. Anything she asked? But unlimited power……

“I’ll do it!” Purah said. Samus smiled and laid out what needed done. For the next week she and Purah worked, building a friction-powered Tesla coil. Samus went and checked on Urbosa every few hours, ensuring she hadn’t moved. Finally, the machine was done. It was time for testing. Purah flipped a switch and watched as their device, which pulled friction via a waterwheel, started to charge. After a while electricity started to arc between the poles and, soon enough, there was a stable reaction in the center. Samua taught her how to pull power from it and Purah was amazed.

“I held up my end of the bargain.” Samus said. “Now it’s time for yours.”
