"Well, and what did you expect Healer Sallow to do with those samples?" asked his guest; drawing him out of those old memories in the process.

"I thought he was just going to study my sperm to find a way to cure the Magic World's infertility..." admitted DarkRock with a touch of fear at the thought of that damned healer making him a father in a roundabout way. "I didn't expect him to use my donations like that..." he muttered with his gaze on the ground.

Mrs. Edevane snorted with a hint of annoyance at the huge stallion's words.

"Mr. Furensō. You signed an agreement with Bob Sallow to provide in one week's time semen samples for study and use as he saw fit, including those samples used to assist couples in infertility treatment. In total you donated 7 sperm samples of a volume of 1.35 oz, that would be a total of 9.47 oz of your seed."

DarkRock was silent because he didn't know what to say about it.

"He even added a clause that if any baby created using your donations, as you say, then that baby could claim to be part of your family."

"I see..." Furensō could not form a complete thought at this point, let alone a complete sentence. "So, you brought the twins here to tell me they're part of my family?"

Mrs. Edevane took a firm grip on her patience, which was quickly wearing thin.

"I'm here to give you Diana and Delia, Mr. Furensō. Their parents are dead, and their next of kin is a very old woman with a large collection of Dark Arts paraphernalia. I wouldn't leave a penny at her mercy."

The huge man was silent and she reluctantly took it as a refusal.

"Very well, Mr. Furensō. If you do not wish to confront Diana and Delia, you are under no legal obligation to do so. I must say that I am disappointed. After reading the riders on the St. Mungos contract, I thought you might be one of those wizards who value family above all other considerations. However, I understand all too well: you are still a very young, single man with a glamorous lifestyle. Two babies would certainly be a hassle and a burden for you alone now.

DarkRock tried to say something about it, but nothing came out of his mouth... it seemed as if he was petrified, even though he wasn't under such a curse.

"Don't worry, Diana, Delia," he addressed the girls in his arms. "The Ministry Home will take care of you."

She never knew it, but it was those last words that completely galvanized Furensō's brain from a dazed spin to the same diamond-hard focus that saw him through all the battles and the final confrontation with the Dark Lord; Voldemort.

"Wait. You mean to tell me they're heading to an orphanage?"

Mrs. Edevane nodded her head at the huge stallion's question.

"Of course, Mr. Furensō. There are very few foster homes in the magical world. The Ministry of Child Welfare office runs an orphanage, though most of the children there are squibs who have been abandoned. It used to be that children with confirmed illnesses. Magical abilities were adopted almost immediately, but since the war there have been fewer families who were in a position to adopt. Also, Bob Sallow's program has been able to help many childless couples achieve their dream, so there are fewer homes available to adopt the magical boys and girls we have. But we take good care of them, and more than half go on to Hogwarts when the time comes."

Furensō really hadn't heard everything Mrs. Edevane had said. The words 'charge' and 'orphanage' had set off bells that drowned out any other thoughts. Here, in this stranger's arms, were two babies a little younger than he himself had been when his parents had abandoned him.

Feeling Furensō's intense gaze, Diana and Delia pushed the nearly empty bottle aside and gazed at the huge man staring back at them. Happier now, with full bellies, they let out in unison a spectacular belch for two babies their size. The striking black-eyed man watching them smiled shyly and the twins smiled back, showing the four small teeth in their pink gums.

"I won't take any more of your time, Mr. Furensō. I can find my own way out. Good day."

Mrs. Edevane rose, shouldering the bag of baby things and carrying the twins on her generous hip.

The huge muscular stallion watched in anguish as the older woman was about to carry off the twins product of the Super Sperm he donated years ago.

"Wait, please!"
