Private Quarters

The infection form spent minutes in the vents of High Charity. Taking random turn after random turn, it travels across the station looking for the right opportunity to attack. It has taken note of some possibly important places, such as a dining area for the many races of the Covenant and a few storage areas containing miscellaneous supplies as far as the parasite could discern. At this point going back to the busy hangar would be pointless, as it would be putting itself at more risk and wasting precious time. Despite the tides turning in the Flood’s favor at the massive four sided battle at the Containment Zone it would not last forever and surely the Flood’s momentum would be slowed and halted. The parasite pushed on, taking another turn in this maze of metal and wires. A vent covering was straight ahead, and as the parasite approached it realized it had made an important discovery. Below the vent covering was a single large room. Furbished in lavish furniture and other expensive items. The room very obviously belonged to someone of importance.

The infection form looked around for a place to hide in the room and decided underneath the large bed in the center of the wall facing the entrance would be its best bet for concealment and surprise. After loosening and opening the vent and slipping into the room, the parasite was able to get a better and unobstructed view of the luxurious space it found itself in. Inside the room to the left of the door were armor stands holding sangheili combat harnesses of different types. One set looked ceremonious in nature due to its ornate yet bulky design. Another looked to be a customized special operations harness, the coating seemed to shine and brighten the dark red armor. The stand that should have been upholding the last combat harness was empty, possibly being worn by the sangheili to whom this room belonged. Next to the armor were some weapons such as a needle rifle and a red energy sword that would occasionally create a plasma arc that would menacingly run along the twin blades. Some ornate furniture lay off to one of the sides of the room and flags depicting different Covenant and sangheili symbology hung on the purple walls surrounding the room. Items in display cases were there too, though what was being displayed the parasite did not know. A terminal with a large display was across from the furniture in the wall. The terminal could possibly have some important information on it, but with no way to access it currently the infection form would have to attempt to access it later. It moved towards the bed intent on getting into its hiding spot before anyone came in. From where it was in the room it could see who entered the room and keep track of their movements while not being seen as the frills hanging off the bed provided good concealment. Not much time passed before the door beeped and opened, someone entering the room and closing the door behind them.
